Kidnapped Santa Cruz tech CEO is found dead

Hours after authorities began searching for a 50-year-old man police said was kidnapped from his oceanfront home, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office reported finding a BMW stolen from his house and a body near the vehicle.

Now, investigators are tracking multiple suspects in connection with the kidnapping of Atre — who, according to his LinkedIn profile, was the owner of AtreNet, a web design company that caters to Silicon Valley corporate businesses.

Santa Cruz is a well known Occult town.

Not sure if the following story is related to the above or not but, this highly accomplished woman is really very strange.

The family of Erin Valenti stopped its search on Saturday night, shortly after police reported that a body was found in South San Jose’s Almaden Valley, the location where the 33-year-old tech entrepreneur went missing after a series of bewildering phone calls during an apparent mental health episode.

On Saturday, relatives had continued their frantic search for Valenti, who they said apparently suffered a manic episode early in the week, telling them in a string of bizarre phone calls that “it’s all a game, it’s a thought experiment, we’re in the Matrix.”

Her husband said she had no history of mental illness.

Valenti was founder and CEO of Tinker Ventures, an application design and development company, where she managed a global team of 120 employees in their Salt Lake City and Pakistan offices. Prior to forming Tinker, she was the Head of Product Development for Overstock.com, where she oversaw a team of 250 engineers.

Save the Children and IRC dragged into Oxfam abuse scandal

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has become the latest humanitarian organisation pitched in the spotlight following the revelations that Britain’s Oxfam failed to report a former country manager for illegally using prostitutes in Haiti.

- She is also a psychologist.

Indian Archbishop Dominic Jala, priest, die in road accident in the US

Fr. Vellankal was driving the archbishop and another Indian priest, Fr. Joseph Parekkatt, to Clearlake in California, when the tragedy took place. Their car was hit by a semi-truck in Colusa County. 

On September 17, Archbishop Jala left Shillong for Rome, where along with other Indian bishops he was on an “ad limina visit”, that heads of dioceses are required to make every 5 years or so to report on the state of their jurisdiction. He was among 44 Indian bishops who met Pope Francis as a group on September 26.
A Shillong Archdiocesan source said the archbishop arrived in Washington DC on September 30 to attend a meeting of the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL) in New York. He left for California on October 6 to meet some of his priest friends.

I haven't looked, but I'd guess you can find 4 Quakes of a similar size, little damage, all within central CA recently.
