Judge orders State Department to release documents on Trump dealings with Ukraine

The State Department must begin turning over documents related to the Trump administration's dealings with Ukraine within 30 days, a judge ruled Wednesday. American Oversight, an ethics watchdog organization, filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department in early October in an attempt to gain access to documents related to communications between President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and top State Department officials regarding Ukraine.

I heard just after the judge's ruling was announced yesterday, that the State Dept would likely appeal his decision for the documents to be released. Why would the Dept of State do that?



Edit to UPDATE: Secretary of State Mike "Trust Kansas" Pompeo said this afternoon that the State Dept will most likely comply with the Judge's order.

- you appeal for 2 reasons;
1) you have something to hide
2) you don’t want to set a precedence of giving in to every FOI request.

- you comply for 1 reason;
1) you have nothing to hide and it defuses the whole narrative.

It is their job to do so for one. Precedent for two.

Worth remembering. The decision was made above the highest levels to do everything by the book - the Controller book. Two big reveals, Ukraine and Russia have CLINTON era treaties on cooperation are being used and not simply something not founded.

So HRC treaties created to screw the public are being used to screw them.

The reason? The public won't let go this whole "Law and Order" version of life.
