To be clear that woman was making a parody of the left. She was indeed a right winger.

Geez though I was unaware of this stuff. Checked out the beauty cream.

Article seems to suggest they use it for testing and not for production.

? maybe fake

That patent, for what is essentially an automated taste test, was granted in 2008. It mentions HEK 293, or Human Embryonic Kidney 293, a widely available cell line that was originally cultured in the early 1970s from a human embryo in the Netherlands

Nope. The only one who loves the little children more than Jesus is me, so I'm not selling.

Bizzare !

I Wonder why a company would would go out of its way to use human parts when you could easily use any other animals?

Why use any other animal.

Use the one you are going to sell the product to.

Would you taste test a chocolate bar to a different species?

So the debunking site says:

"It’s important to note here that — whatever one might think of fetal stem cell research in general, and regardless of whether or not Senomyx uses HEK 293-derived cells in its development efforts — neither Pepsi nor any other U.S. food company is manufacturing or selling any consumable products “that are actually made using the cell tissue of unborn babies that were murdered through abortion.” What we’re talking about here is a cell line derived from a single (healthy, aborted) fetus over forty years ago.."

I'm not sure this is better. So it is derived from a babies fetus.

" [Senomyx] appears to be engineering HEK cells to function like the taste-receptor cells we have in our mouth. This way, Senomyx can test millions of substances to see if they work as different types of taste enhancers without subjecting human volunteers to endless taste tests.

To non-scientists this may sound a bit strange, but the reality is that HEK 293 cells are widely used in pharmaceutical research, helping scientists create vaccines.."

I don't know why Snopes gave the "Fake" rating.. It's TRUE !

Soylent Green has become a reality!

Pepsi co said however that they employ Senomyx to reduce the amount of sugar in their drinks but do not employ their flavor additives.. hmmm
