Prices were 132 yen per liter now up to 157 yen per liter. The bad news also is that Japan just raised its sales tax to 10 percent. Of course, prices will have to go up, but how much can we really take of this. Keep in mind Japan does not have the welfare system like America has. If you belong to the yakuza, forget about getting public housing and a bank accounts. Yep, that's right.

That comes out to $5.49 US per gallon. Yes that is expensive.
I paid $2.55 per gallon yesterday, the highest I remember paying a couple years ago was like $3.90.

And people in America think gas prices are going to kill the economy, nope, it all adjust over time. Been here many years and have seen cigs got from about 2 bucks a pack till now 5 bucks a pack. Yes, less people smoke, but they still buy the cigs.

Not many in the usa support that anymore.

Ours has been hovering around $3.69 for a few months. Up a couple of cents recently. Cheaper than it was last year, but not cheaper than 6 months ago.

Our oil comes from Indonesia.
