“In a land of ironies this reigns king.”

More on the developing situation regarding the official transcript of the Ukraine phone call being hidden on a secure server at the direction of the White House staff.

Reuters

As a presidential candidate, Donald Trump repeatedly attacked his Democratic adversary Hillary Clinton in 2016 over her use of a private computer server for official emails when she was U.S. secretary of state.

Now the Republican president has his own server problem as he seeks re-election to the White House in 2020.

This information is just starting to come out and it is difficult to ascertain at this moment if the exact transcript is still on this server and unreleased. As reported, the White House did release a summary of the phone call that has notes on it that say it may not be the actual word for word transcript. The White House called it a "readout".

Potentially, a word for word transcript still exists on the secret server, along with many other similar and incriminating documents.

Transcripts of presidents’ phone calls are normally stored on a classified White House computer system accessible to “at most, a low double-digit number of people,” said Larry Pfeiffer, director of the Michael V. Hayden Center for Intelligence, Policy and International Security in Virginia.

Moving the transcript to an even more restrictive system – one normally used to store information about specially sensitive government secrets – would be “unusual given the contents of that call,” he said.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment about this story. Reuters was unable to corroborate the allegations about the server.

No comment from the White House on these allegations. Yet.

If the alleged server exists... It depends how long he holds on to the information upon request, or exercises executive privilege to delay release.

From what i read computer software records the conversation into text. WH workers then varify (and edit if needed) that the computer program did proper speech-to-text.

A raw unedited version may exist, or possibly it was edited before released. Or nothing is really different from the original.

Does it really matter? The point is thay Trump was trying to get Ukraine to look into biden. Which is already proven with the edited transcript.

You're really trying to conflate an unauthorized server in Clinton's closet used to illegally store secret information. To a classified server in the White House?

You guys crack me up.

Will Trump "wipe the server with a cloth?" This is ironic. Now the house will demand the server, and Trump might hide behind Barr, who he conspired with (according to the transcript) that is actually on the server!

If the call was manipulated, changed, misreported, or in any way intentionally changed, then it's a crime. Those of us with integrity all agree that if Trump does something illegal, he should be punished. Which is worlds away from the idiot left. they have no integrity.

Matter of patience. If the allegations are true it's only a matter of time until more people gain access to the server for the impeachment inquiry.

Unless of course it is wiped. Like, with a cloth.

I think anyone with integrity will think the same. This is no longer partisan. It's a matter of law.

If he does that, I'd call out hypocrisy... I'm not afraid to say Bush and Cheney had sketchy communication practices which they wiped before leaving... Or that Powell was the one who instructed Hillary on how to do private email and for what purpose. That's the reason I dispise establishment politicians from both sides who do as they wish because they know there will be no ramifications.

But it's been a day technically that we've had solid evidence to go off of. And as it stands, the allegations are a lot more than any of us have seen.

So you're saying if he wipes the hard drives... We will see, watch what I say if that happens. But I doubt it would matter anyways. I doubt it's the only copy.

Be careful asking questions you dont want answers to.
This was a leak stopping op.

Props to Reuters for being upfront about that though. Many outlets don't say it in such forward text like that.

I do not think you understand the last line in the article that you bring up.

“One White House official described this act as an abuse of this electronic system because the call did not contain anything remotely sensitive from a national security perspective,” the whistleblower wrote in the nine-page complaint.

If there was nothing sensitive from a national security perceptive, then it was moved from a politically, privately sensitive perspective.

This is not a good thing.

What you just said... Facepalm worthy... Let me break this down.

A raw unedited version "MAY" exist
"POSSIBLY" it was edited before released
"OR" nothing is "REALLY" different from the original
"Does it really matter?"

"(The POINT IS 'that' TRUMP) was trying to get Ukraine to look into biden. Which is already PROVEN with the edited transcript"

Which is it? May, possibly or really matter? Point is TRUMP. It's proven.

I can't keep up with all of this. (sigh)

So where were all these people that suddenly care about the law when Obama was spying on political opponents?

Is it a private email server hidden in some really odd place?
