You could be spot-on, that was my first thought too.

After the rise of NSP's (New Psychoactive Substances / formerly 'legal' highs), the MDMA produces and suppliers fast began to lose business.

After years of decreasing the potency of ecstasy pills, and after several years of seeing their market decline, they began trying to wrestle it back by increasing potency again, to the point where the pills have become too strong for too many.

Even here, on my small home island, we are seeing the effects;

UP to three super-strength batches of ecstasy are available on Jersey’s streets, health experts have warned, as more Islanders have been treated in Hospital for reactions to the party drug.

[...] Former Grainville student Ashleigh Green (29) died last week following a severe reaction to the drug. His death came days after authorities had warned of another strain of MDMA, branded with a Skype logo, that is still believed to be on the Island’s streets. The tablets are thought to be up to three times stronger than regular MDMA.

A spokeswoman for the Health Department has confirmed more people were treated for adverse reactions to drugs over the bank holiday weekend, with ‘up to four’ people requiring Hospital treatment. A more specific figure could not be released for data protection reasons. Several others, including one 19-year-old who attended a rave at L’Etacquerel Fort, were treated for adverse MDMA-related reactions earlier this month.

Drug awareness group Weekend Welfare said they were aware of Donkey Kong and Ninja Turtle or Purple Turtle tablets in Jersey. Warnings about both strains were also sounded at last weekend’s Creamfields festival in Cheshire.

As a side-note, we had a damn close call very recently, get this; Local Customs Enforcement seized £10,000,000 (Ten Million GBP) worth of heroin.

Ten Million.

The island that I live on is only 9x5 miles,.... and while just like everywhere else we have our fair share of addicts, we don't have a heroin problem on that scale, but we very nearly could have.

It is interesting that they were all middle-aged. If no others turn up, it could be they brought their own (whatever it was) from outside, and it wasn't a widespread thing that many at the event were partaking in.

Either way, unless its something they made themselves, probably a likelihood there's more of it out there to be distributed.

All being middle aged isn't so weird. it probably means that thee venue had some kind of 80s or 90s act playing, or something like that. Middle aged people do drugs to.

A white powdered substance believed to be coc aine was distributed by Sanchez-Montalvo to people at the after party, according to investigators. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office initially determined the presence of fentanyl in the white powder.

What if the paper orange wrist bands contain the drug?
Soak the bands in the drug and when the wearer of the band starts to sweat then it could absorb through the wrist.

mdma is supposed to be relatively safe if it's pure and if the person takes care of himself...

plus there are actually deadly drugs out there, like heroine etc. so that would be a much more logical place to start, lol.

The base drug is molly, which by itself and pure is relatively safe.

Xtc however is a mixture up to the maker. Sometimes they mix uppers and downers which is just asking for heart problems especially mixed with sweating and consuming alcohol.

ok well maybe xtc, if it was badly mixed with something...

but by definition mdma / molly... means that it's supposed to be pure. so mdma / molly can't really be it. but yeah maybe xtc / ecstasy if it was badly made.

it's sad if that's how people are trying to enjoy their molly though lol. when they could just get supposedly pure molly.

It's a black market, so you'll have people mixing expensive stuff with cheap stuff that still gets you off.

That's why we need to remove the taboo and at least have testing tents at festivals and such.

I understand keeping certain drugs illegal, I really do. But a user is not a criminal for playing with their own consciousness and reality. People do it without drugs in equally devistating ways to their community.

First and foremost, parents need to be upfront with their kids and teach them how to be smart. Telling them ganja is dangerous will just make them not listen to you on other things. Tell them it can effect motivation in life, but some people really like it and it's relatively harmless and they'll listen to you when you say party drugs literally kill people sometimes because someone wanted to make ten dollars off of you.

Wristbands can also identify test subjects. Same as a military drill going on in town? Look where these folks were found.
Do they have a common trait? Race, gender, ethnicity? If so what does that tell you?
