Beto Does Reddit AMA, Gets Roasted From All Sides

Saw this on Tim Pools youtube channel today, looks like another boomer completely unaware of public perception.

Beto, a democratic presidential candidate who set back the entire dem party in the last debate when he went full retard and said he was “ coming for your ARs and your AK47s”. Well today he had another great idea, to do a reddit ama and ignore most serious questions and pander to the few who already agree with him.

I just thought some of the users of ATS would get a kick out of reading through the thread.

Yeah good luck with any of that Beto, I know people who own multiple ARs, who have mile long dirt driveways into the deep woods, find me one cop willing to drive up there and forcefully remove their property for pennies.

Beto will say whatever he believes will keep him viable. In the TX senate race he said the EXACT opposite on a radio show that can be found online. He has done the same with border security. He said we DO need a barrier. Now, NO we do not need it.

It's quite remarkable the speed at which he changes his position with no explanation but what's even more remarkable nobody questions him on it. Probably because nobody considers him a threat. The other candidates completely ignore him on that stage which they should. Not worth wasting any time on because he's going nowhere but back home to El Paso for good.

Grateful people have finally realized how ignorant Beto is on every single topic. AK47's have been banned for a long long time. Will someone please tell him on his staff. Only way to legally own one is if it's in a museum and non functional to my understanding and that requires a permit. AR-15 is not high powered. Smaller round and is not a battlefield weapon since it has no burst or full auto.

Whenever Obama commented on guns, the sales went sky high and so did membership in the NRA. So more guns and more money for gun advocating lobbyists so Beto is having the reverse impact on what he is trying to do on a grand scale. Probably worse than Obama so thanks. Bet he is singled handedly responsible for the sale of 100K's AR-15's this week. Maybe more.

I own 2 AK platform rifles, 2 AR-15 style, and 1 AR-10. Al semi-auto. AK's are not illegal. I just saw them for sale in my local gun store a week ago.

Has to be sarcasm regarding the ongoing joke that a moderate dem like time that says just one wrong thing is automatically alt-right.

There was post in there discussing the compliance rate with bans and buybacks in places like California(4%) and New Jersey(effectively 0%).

Those rates of compliance are dismally low. If Francis thinks he's gonna get Americans to give up their guns, and law enforcement to take them, he's in for a rude awakening.

Even if they managed to force some sort of mandatory gun buy back (confiscation) I don't believe too many police departments would help enforce it- at least outside of big cities. In my hometown in Texas the police chief used to hold monthly town meetings where he encouraged every citizen who was legally able to own/purchase at least one or two firearms for self defense and to stock ammo, and also encouraged everyone who was legally able to get a concealed carry permit. There are more small town and rural police departments than there are big city ones.

Where do you live that AKs are illegal? I see them at gun shows all the time, saw 2 or 3 at local gun store yesterday.
