I think if you examine the numbers it's very probable we have been visited and cataloged. Did you know there are over 12,000 documented species of ants all over the World! For any technologically advance culture say over a million years old what could we possibly have of value and interest? And not only that, a technologically advance culture would be like NSA on steroids in terms of gathering information about us. They would probably be able to do the equivalent of anal probing everyone on the planet real-time from stealth satellites in space.

But I love your OP! Great topic!!

Which brings up another point....the one postulating that they would be as advanced above us as we are above ants, and because of that they would have no interest in us.
Well, if we discovered a planet with simple insect life on it it's not likely we would decline to study them just because they're ants. It would be very exciting and of great scientific interest. And thank you.

Im off to bed. Alarm is set for 415. Ill try and pull something up for you later that made me question that. An Angel had trouble getting here, and briefly discussed the reason. It made me think about that. I thought the same, but Now I question that, There are different types.

Have a good night. Im off for my quiet time before bed

ET must be severely disappointed.
No. This would have been one of the greatest experiences in their explorations....probably in the history of their civilization.

I agree. I'm sure we would be entertaining on some level. I just hope the humor is not too banal from their perspective.

Well sure, ...if these UFOs are the equivalent of a party bus on a sight seeing tour to Las Vegas. But if they're scientists and explorers then we would be of great scientific interest.

Good night, dear. I look forward to hearing back from you.

They seem to be more interested in everything Earth has that is not human, or created by humans. Water, Thunderstorms, Cattle.
Liquid water may be rare meaning thunderstorms are also rare....as well as complex life such as cattle.

It seems the massive electrical charge in Thunderstorms is USEFUL to them.
And in volcanic eruptions, as well it would seem.

Everyone loves beauty in nature!
Yes. We have a very beautiful planet...filled with wondrous and beautiful life forms, ourselves included.

Greetings Commander Shleeb.
We have returned from our reconnaissance mission to Sol-D5443, Terra-3.

Ah yes! How are our old friends the Cattle doing ? And those pesky apes ?

The cattle are doing well, and have managed to domesticate a species of hairless ape.
Oh ? Really ?
Are these apes intelligent ?

Well: they have developed a system of satellite-based nuclear weapons.
Oh ! So they are rather advanced then, no ?

Well: not really.
You see: they have pointed the weapons at themselves...

That's very funny....But, at least some of them are pointed away from us. I'll try and find the video of us shooting at a ufo in space. And nuclear weapons in space are illegal. But the "Rods from God" aren't. Google it.

Yes: interesting the idea of those Tungsten rods.
Wonder if they could make similar 'rods', from cattle feces ?

Personally I believe that Aliens have visited Earth in the ancient past, they just haven't made it back for another visit yet!

This doesn't take away from your theory at all, but it ties in with the idea that intelligent life is quite rare in the universe which is why we haven't had the same level of contact that ancient civs did.

If you also take into account the expansion of the universe, it might also be getting harder/taking longer for Aliens to make the return trip...

I think expansion takes place on a .much larger time scale and wouldn't effect it.

We don't have the technology these UFOs are displaying.

Can we prove that?

I would agree that we are behind the curve but...how far behind? in reality

We may not be that far behind them technologically. That could explain their apparent reluctance to just land on the White House lawn and officially announce themselves.

They've been here for a while IMO.

I wish they would buck up already and admit it.

They may be preparing to do just that.
