The people protesting, and rightly so if it was true, were also the victims of false rumors. Republicans aren't planting and/or above being duped by false rumors. Pizza Gate?

Again, false rumors, especially manufactured to rule the masses, are an age old tactic.

And, this isn't anything like the Kavanaugh hearings. There were actual people making actual claims.

They were actual people making false claims.

The people protesting are not victims. They chose to act without having any idea what was going on. I hope they learned a valuable lesson, but I would not count on it.

It's the same thing as Kavanaugh. No need to wait for facts. No need to verify anything. No need for critical analysis. Claims were made by actual people, none of them verified, and all of them having no credibility. None of that mattered though.

No, the faculty are victims. The people who believe in guilty until proven innocent and acted on false rumors are not victims. They made a choice.

Who's the somebody they are spreading false rumors about though? The town council? Maybe, I guess? No one knows who the supposed victims are or the supposed assailant. You'd think the kids would have been smart enough to find out at least some of the who question before they had a fit over it. It seems that the smartest person was the one who started the rumor. They knew enough not to name names and open themselves up to a liable suit..

I didn't compare this case with Supreme Court nominees, you and Luminaria did.

She claims that she re-posted something that she read."

This is a case of someone repeating something they read, thus spreading a an unverified "rumor", and the ensuing ramifications.

It's an age old story.

Being weary or aware isn't presumption of guilt, I'm under the impression everyone should expect everyone is trying to get over on you, because they are whether they mean to or not. Friends are benefit users, family should be but are too often drain users.

Its simply about not getting yourself in a situation thats bigger than you can handle as a person. There are obvious physical differences between women and men that come into effect. There are random rapes and murders of course, but most of the time it rely's on someone ignoring their friends and often their own advice and wanting to let themselves go. Dont get me wrong everyone should beable to open up and enjoy themselves, but risk and reward should be at the forefront. Jumping off a bridge without gear is probably really exciting for a few moments.
