I for one will acknowledge when trump does something right, which unfortunately isn't very often. Even when he does attempt to do something good he does it in such a trolling hateful manner it makes it hard to give him credit.

Trump's mistakes are tiny and meaningless compared to the purposeful and willful efforts of those against him to defame, defraud, and cause harm to all American's by denying liberties, revoke rights by their actions and treatment of others, even their own team. Like babies with matches burning down their own houses with the entire family inside.

The President of the USA panicked the State of Alabama with a FALSE claim that they would be struck by Hurricane Dorian.

Incorrect. Alabama was not panicked. We were already watching the weather.

Unlike some, Alabamians for the most part actually look outside instead of keeping their noses glued to CNN. Good thing too, because at one point Don Lemon's guest stated that an Alabama hit was possible.

The Post noted that the email also cautioned staff against providing "any opinion" when faced with questions about the hurricane. “This is the first time I’ve felt pressure from above to not say what truly is the forecast,” the meteorologist said to the Post. “It’s hard for me to wrap my head around."

THAT is why congress long ago made it illegal to falsify NOAA forecasts and materials.

The President of the USA panicked the State of Alabama with a FALSE claim that they would be struck by Hurricane Dorian.

It is like every week he finds a new way to secure his place as the most blundering, incompetent, thin-skinned, pathological liar, failure of President in US History.

LOL Alabama was not panicked. I'd know, I live there. Dunno if you know this or not, but we deal with spinning cyclones of wind every year. Nah, the only thing people in Alabama panic about weather wise is the threat of 1" of snow. Then and only then is there a run on supplies.

It all makes sense to me now. The core group of 'Trump Can Never Be Wrong' supporters think exactly like Trump. They cannot accept the fallibility of this clown so will tie themselves in knots to back him up on every count. No matter what evidence is shown that Trump misspoke or was wrong it's always a problem with the evidence. Even footage coming out of the horse's mouth that contradicts himself. Nope. Trump is perfect in every way. Now, if anyone else did and said crap like this, you lot would be up their collective ass. A sharpied weather map? I mean seriously, WTF? The fact is NONE of the weather models ever suggested Alabama was going to be affected. Except for the Trump model, of course.

While you all were frothing at the mouth over a sharpie. Trump was securing more funding for the border. You all have the attention span of your average need cycle and Trump is using it to his advantage.
This recent tweet should give you a good idea how you are being played.

Donald Trump was wrong about Dorian

That's not the problem. He still claims he was right, he's still ranting on Twitter about how he was right, and he used a sharpie to make it look like he was right.

LOL , He is the President Of the United States . If America is as Great as We Happen to Believe in 2019 , then the President is Too . Great Men are not Imposed Upon by Trifles ..............

Great people can say, "I was wrong".

Alabama ranks first in the country for approving of the Orange Moron:
morningconsult.com...

And Alabama ranks 50th (out of 50 states BTW) in education.
www.usnews.com...

I won't speculate of correlation, but given those statistics I am pretty sure when the President tweets that they are going to get hit hard by hurricane Dorian a good number of Alabamans believed him.

Supporting the President's policies does not necessarily equate to panicking whenever he says panic. We're not that dumb... we're plenty smart enough to make people like you underestimate us.

As for the education, hoss, I was born, raised, and educated in rural Alabama. I'll take you on in a math competition of any level you wish, any time of any day you wish, and whoop yore ass up one side and down the other. Beware believing those metrics.

(On further reflection, I feel that I might need to clarify to anyone offended by the above statement and subsequently does not understand what the word M-A-T-H means, a math competition is a mental, not a physical, confrontation. It is a crying shame that I felt the need to add this comment, but the overall level of ignorance displayed in the last three years compels me to do so.)

Has there been any explanation as to why that image was used?

Not that I know of, and it is a valid question.
However, we know for a fact that Trump was advised by the NOAA that Alabama could be hit, so mentioning it at the time is not an issue at all.
Truthfully, I am still laughing about how pathetic the 'scandal' is. From Russiagate to Sharpiegate. Some come down there.

Trump tweeted out 4 day old information, when there was current information available that contradicted his tweet.

He cancelled his Poland trip, specifically citing his concern for the hurricane, and assured us that he would be getting hourly updates from Camp David.

If he was getting hourly updates, he would have known that Alabama was "out of the woods". But, he probably played too much golf, and was suffering from exhaustion and information overload. That's probably why he tweeted erroneous information, and now, because The Chosen One can't ever be mistaken, has to get his toadies to try and change history.

You sir are 100% correct. This is what happened and it prompted NOAA to release a statement after Trump's tweet.

The person who is sided with NOAA is a PR appointee that was appointed by Trump after she worked on his campaign, NOT an actual meteorologist.

The fact is Trump tweeted 4 day old information and refuse to admit he made a mistake is troubling. Now Trump's faithful are practicing all sorts of mental gymnastics to defend their golden calf.

The probabilities were always nil that Alabama could receive hurricane force winds. When it looked like Dorian was going to strike Florida, there was a chart issued that showed a very low probability(10% or less) that Alabama could see tropical storm force winds. As more information became available it was apparent that Alabama was not in the danger zone days before Trump's infamous tweet.

No one at NOAA advised Trump Alabama was at risk. He clearly was confused by the 'spagetti model's.'

The fact he cannot admit he made a mistake is alarming, I am even more concerned how far his supporters will go to justify his incompetence.

Good observation. So true, that anyone who would say otherwise at this point tells the rest of us all we need to know.

So Don Lemon saying it on CNN isn't going to work for this lefty on ATS apparently.

I cant understand how people waste their time watching CNN and using it to make a point until it backfires on them.

CNN and the weather models picked a possible path as all the way to the middle of the Gulf of Mexico and Don Lemon reported it. End the lies leftists, end the lies. It is not only going to get you confused when it backfires it is going to cost you one way or another.

'Secured more funding for his border wall'??? Are you serious?? He misappropriated Pentagon, Puerto Rico's hurricane rebuilding funding and some school funding for his ego project. This isn't securing more funding. It's another end run around Congress and taking monies earmarked for other things. What a clown.
