No, you will not lament. You will laugh at them. I guess you find hell a laughing matter.

Any normal human being is going to laugh at these idiots choosing to be upset. I am not sure if you are being facetious or if you think these people are actually in pain over someone not conforming to their world view.

A convention for the weak and the gutless. Hosted by the weak and the gutless.

I think everyone’s name needs to be taken at the door of this event, they will all need to be placed on suicide watch next November when ‘the Triggering’ occurs at a much larger scale than 2016

First, there's something wrong with a lot of people.

Second, don't attend their meetings.

Who here would go to this gathering? Not me. So what's the problem? Let them gather together and share their thoughts. How is that affecting anyone else?

Sounds like more bitching about others that have no affect on you and you'll never meet.

Yeah, I know, someday these crybabies will somehow take over the country. I'm betting no.

So let them do what they want. It's called freedom.

Improper nurturing, no male role models, parents always at work, replacement of the community with the media and state. Comes as no surprise that the young these days have no skin.

I remember seeing a video in one of my psychology classes of rhesus monkies which were denied touch by their mothers. When they grew up, they were so afraid of others that they couldn't even mate when opportunity was assured.

Painful to watch, but such generations die out of their own accord.

Only sustainable intergenerational practices will be sustained.

Show me the post in this thread that suggests these comrade jazz hand non-focusers shouldn't be allowed to gather?

People in the thread are just pointing out how ridiculous the behavior and speech of these sad-sacks are. No one said they shouldn't be allowed to get together.

Technically a lot of the better comedians of the past probably ended up in hell.

So would that not make hell a pretty funny place?
Breh, ypu're too funny.

I read through your exchange with Terry and you have me in tears in a crowded public area...

Right here at my silly screen reading our fellow member laughing at the woeful people he believes will be going through hell. That seems rather sadistic to me. Does it to you?

Where to begin..

Have you ever advocated for someones, or a group of someones, to be shut down? That whole angle of your post seems to be projection.

Also, yes, this type of behavior absolutely is impacting society negatively through everything from "cancel culture" to the colloquial "pc police."

Not to mention that we have DSA members in congress now, openly advocating ideals that are antithetical to the premise of the US.

So.. Yeah.. It kind of is a thing that affects people that would otherwise be all about "live and let live."

Tell me Met, what do you think to be '' normal''.. Are people who laugh at Trump's constant verbal flubs ''normal?
Are people who believe that Trump is God's chosen vessel on earth today and believe that he is fulfilling some preordained divine plan to bring the world back to Jesus,,,''normal''?

Myself, I don't laugh at Trump and I don't laugh at the misguided who have fallen into farcical religious beliefs feeling that they are part of some holy quest of deliverance. What's normal...

Is visiting ATS almost everyday''normal'. Is writing and repeating the same tropes and slogans day after day, '''normal''?

We can make a list, right here and now of who, between us, we consider normal and not normal but for me, normal should now be understood to be the actions and beliefs that hold to whatever culture we adhere to, which ever social groupings surround us.

You and I have come from a time when those social groupings and cultural norms were fairly standard. However now, when we no longer have only three TV networks and a handful of movie producers but instead have almost unlimited forms of entertainment and information flows at our beck and call on movie and information screens that we carry with us daily and a plethora of people wanting to make and produce the vast array of stuff that we can pay attention to, I will ask you just where is the ''normal'' you wish to hold us to. It's gone my friend, it's gone
