Tatra mountains: Five dead after lightning strike in Poland and Slovakia

Five people, including two children, have been killed after lightning strikes in the Tatra mountains in Poland and neighbouring Slovakia.

Another 100 people were hurt, some seriously with severe burns or head injuries, Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.

Worst lighting strike on that peak since 1937. I've seen other sources that claim around 150 were injured.

Decades of selective breeding and genetically modifying food has decreased iron content in what we eat. Our blood becomes less conductive, and therefore, when electricity is introduced to our body, the resistance is what causes such severe damage.

Those people should still be alive.

But in America we had a record low number of lightning deaths in a recent year. You would think Americans would be feeling the effects of GMOs and such more than Slovakian mountain people.
