The 2019 Rugby world Cup will begin on 20 September and will take place In Japan next month , I'm going to make a prediction for the teams who I believe will qualify to the finals and eventually win the world cup.

The teams to face off in the quarter finals will be:

1-> England vs Australia
2-> New Zealand vs Scotland
3-> Wales vs Argentina
4-> South-Africa vs Ireland

The teams to face off in the semi finals will be:

1-> England vs New Zealand
2-> Wales vs South-Africa

The teams to face off in the finals will be:

1-> New Zealand vs Wales

I believe that New Zealand will eventually win the finals and take home the world cup.

interesting. However, if it comes to a Wales vs SA semi, I think SA will win.

If SA face NZ in the final - I think NZ will take it.

Based on yesterdays game, I don't think Ireland will make the quarters either.

Wales are #1 at the moment on world rankings and they've kept improving since last year , as an SA supporter I can't deny that the Welsh are much better. It's going to be a big upset for South Africa yet an entertaining match I'm sure.

Strange things happen during the RWC.
New Zealand don’t deal well with the pressure, knowing it’s the world cup.
Being a South African citizen I think you know who I’m supporting.

Here's what I put in the other thread...

Looking forward to it. My prediction is that England will snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

While the big guns will reign supreme, I will enjoy watching the lower order teams like Fiji, Namibia, Tonga, USA et al. Hope Japan do well, a they are the hosts.

One's thing is for sure New Zealand are beatable.

My prediction on the early Pool games.

Pool A - Ireland and Japan (surely Japan and not Scotland)
Pool B - New Zealand and South Africa
Pool C - England and France (I don't think Argentina will get through)
Pool D - Australia and Wales

Anyway, I though the RWC started on 20th September with Japan vrs Russia.

Wales will win the anthem singing that’s for sure.
Love it.
Ours is cr@p but the Welsh always inspire me to belt out our anthem as if it was actually good.

Well, all credit to Wales. Just pipped by the South African Springboks. I was cheering Wales. Good for England though. I knew they could beat the New Zealand All Blacks and my faith has been vindicated.

Felt so bad for Wales. They just lacked a little bit due to injuries.
Happy about the way my team got through though.
I'm alternately confident about playing SA and nervous about how our rush defence will work with the way they kick into space all the time...
Next Saturday will be a drinking day I think, just to get through it with fingernails intact.

South Africa played it amazingly by being bad before the Worls Cup then pumping it up for the finals
A conspiracy maybe there but love your team, that little de Klerk man he's got go in him
Great to watch him taking on the giants

It was cute, but I still think they should all be fired when they get back.
Haven't seen the bokke play this much soccer since 2017.

If I screw up half as much on the job as they do on the field I would've been fired long ago.
I'm happy we made it to the finals, I'll be shouting my heart out on Saturday, but can't help to feel Wales deserved it more...

Amazing watching De Klerk (1.72m) squaring up to Jake Ball (1.97m).
Annoying yappy dog he may be, but does have some balls.

Definitely a drinking day.
Will it be the champagne of victory or the battery acid of despair?
As we beat (stuffed) the All Blacks hopefully we can beat the' Boks.
Bloody Marys are a rugby tradition in our house.
Bring it on!
