Not a blues aficionado myself but muddy waters, one of the greatest musicians of his era without a doubt and some great songs even for a guy with no
fixed taste like myself, that said the best were when a few blues singers collaborated, I would rank Aretha Franklin as perhaps even better but only
because she had a better voice and could sing anything and make it sound good.
And more my generation BUT only because several of there track's were named blues but in fact were more Celtic vocal than blues which is really an
american genre while the Irish in there work is all too clear to the listener and is a world away from REAL blues music - but still good, real blues
was born of oppression and suffering and reflected that with it's gloom but of course oppression and suffering can be found everywhere in the
world.
