Don't really know how they operate when it comes to narcotics. Maybe they showed up to see what was going on and then all hell broke loose. Who knows.

Sounds possibly like a warrant was being served.

A witness who lived close to the shooting told NBC Philadelphia that she heard a series of shots fired, what felt like 100 gunshots, and could smell what seemed to be gunpowder before police arrived to the scene. The unidentified woman told NBC Philadelphia that it felt "like a war."

ETA - since we know there’s officers inside the building that are trapped, it could well be a warrant service actually. That info changes things, initially I figured gang dispute but now, not so much.

If I heard correctly the 6th was a SWAT officer, but he was walking on his own and they transported to hospital

Erm, 5 of them have been shot. It's a little more than how many turned up at this stage.

I'm not poo pooing the situation my comment was that sometimes the people react to a situation that over rides their training. The excitement of the situation sometime over rides normal come thinking. Were these fallen officers wearing protection? Where were they at when they were shot? Did this person sharp shoot them from the top a of a building?

No disrespect to the injured officers, but, how many shot each other?

Two cops trapped on the second floor.

It doesn’t look like they’re going to try to talk to this guy out.

If a sniper doesn’t get the guy it’s more than likely they will storm the building .

FAA called for a 1 mile restricted radius. Is this to keep news media helicopters out of the way?

None of the officers are facing life-threatening injuries.
