Republican Congressmen Tour U.S.-Mex Border But Where Are The Democrats?

Chip Roy (R-TX), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Ben Cline (R-VA) recently toured the Rio Grande river with Border Patrol officers (video clip below). They were shown areas where illegal migrants cross over to the United States.

Simple question...why don't we see the Democrats go along for a tour with Border Patrol? They love their photo shoots outside border camps and legal ports of entry, as they complain about the horrible conditions. But, just how many of them have actually broke a sweat, while checking out the Rio Grande area, which is the number one sector for illegal crossings in the country?

It is a fact, that illegals sneak into our country, with the help of Mexican cartels, who often abuse them. You would think that some Democrats, especially the Democratic Presidential candidates, would want to hear these stories first hand, from our Border Patrol agents, who deal with this situation everyday. Do any of them really care about America's Border Patrol agents?

The border agents, military and law enforcement personnel at our southern border are doing their best in difficult circumstances to combat both illegal immigration and attacks from Democrats and the national media.

The accusations against the men and women doing everything in their power to care for these detainees are completely unfounded. This is an attempt to discredit President Trump and open our borders.

Military personnel and the supplemental border funding package have improved the situation, but they are insufficient. We need to reform our asylum laws and end other immigration loopholes that have led to this crisis.

Cartels are active in human trafficking and make it a companion for the drug trade. Border patrol officers are consumed by dealing with large groups of migrants now arriving on buses while they know drug smuggling is occurring nearby.

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Senator David Perdue of Georgia put this in stark terms. He stated that the two cartels over the border are making money off of this overflow of humanity. Hewitt pointed out correctly that these gangs have monetized our asylum process. Purdue agreed and went on to explain that human trafficking at our border is a $2 billion business. He also noted drug profits from one sector of the border, near McAllen Texas, totaled about $32 billion.

Are Democrats concerned at all about these facts? I know what they are concerned about. The majority of Democrats favor decriminalizing illegal border crossings and believe we should take in more migrants per year. However, I believe many are clueless on the dangerous situations that exist at our borders, as well as how illegal immigration has been detrimental to the United States.

While it's true that many border detention camps are understaffed and overcrowded, many fail to realize that this was caused by the Democrats, who stonewalled funding to the Department of Homeland Security for months, before reluctantly passing the $4.6 Billion Dollar Senate Bill in late June. They're not at all interested about the dangerous situation that currently exists right now on our border, nor are they interested that only 27% of Americans want immigration levels increased (LINK). What matters most to Democrats, especially the Democratic candidates, are their poll numbers and pandering to their base.

Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris are among the leading candidates who’d make illegally crossing the border a civil rather than a criminal offense.

Seems both side no? So please show me where this was nothing but a photo op and they Invited representatives from the other side and they refused?

Where are the independents? The reality is simple you do not see a ton of either group doing photo ops together unless its some sort of joint legislation etc.

By your logic, since No GOP members were present during AOC's visit they are Un-American?

Then why not discuss in public their plan to change immigration laws to allow the low skilled labor we need from central America.
