So they are not demons. Though many Abrahamic types say they are. They say some of my Gods are as well, while taking others as Saints

The Jinn are a wee bit (but not totally) similar to the Good Folk of the Celtic lands (the Fae)

I would say if you wish a comparison to anything there resemble the legends of the fae folk and the like.

Possibly interdimensional by nature able to manifest matter at will.

But it's all just sheer speculation and folklore without proof.

Not Gods created by God and apparently similar to ourselves, freewill wise.

We were from clay, Jinn from fire. The Angels, I'm not sure what there are made from being both anthropomorphic and abstract.

I viz / created a retreat years ago that I would mentally visit almost every morning. I have not been able to get myself there so to speak in 6 months or more. Curious.... Haven't really even thought about it. Which is also somewhat disturbing.

Don't think they are Fae. But could be totally wrong. They fit everything written about Jinn very well.
But the mechanisms of interaction do sound very similar to what can happen with Fae. (The old legends and such I have read from Europe and parts of America.)

I have had one encounter with a Fae. Rather pleasant encounter only lasting a minute or so. I surprised it being someplace it traveled often and did not expect to find me.

These may be similar to fae, in as much as they can be placated?
I would not know how to go about making restitution or apologizing to a Fae.
Evil I do not give quarter... so kinda beyond my experience on how to say sorry to something supernatural that I can't even locate or identify.

Or failing that to plain get rid of them and or force them to leave me the hell alone.

No Jinn are not Fae, its a similar folklore group.

The Jinn may well be Indo-European mythology (hard to tell, because the Persian and Vedic people walked into that part of the world), and the Celtic people (from who the Fae are associated). Othe Indo-European peoples had similar groups.

Its more comlex.

So Jinn are certainly not Fae. You are correct.

Probably better with a saucer of cream at the bottom of the garden to be honest.

Apparently, names are important where Jinn are concerned, knowing such can give or grant power over them.

Short of that, you're after The Lesser Key of Solomon or the like.

I don't personally place much stock in supernatural entities, but just be careful messing around with occult esoteric knowledge.

As to identification, well a picture might be nice.

The Enfield Poltergeist was interesting in 1977, possession attacks happened for over a year on an 11 years old girl, she eventually recovered, but was damaged.

To be honest I would not have the ability to tell they are jinn except that I have had run ins with things far more evil. I can tell these are not the same things.

I am very familiar with the case. But thank you for the suggestion.
I shall review in the light of it possibly being caused by a jinn not a poltergeist or demon.

What facts?
My reality is my reality.
If yours does not encompass the possibility that said beings exist...
They won't. Even if they are fing with you all day every day.
You would see the influence as mental illness, alien abduction, ghosts, mirage, halucination...whatever your reality will let you comprehend.
As a curiosity, should I have a general discourse with one again. I'll ask for a selfie with one.
Although I have learned said photos generally turn out as black masses, black human form outlines, or round (black) objects in the photos.
Which kind of makes sense. As they technically would be vibrating at a different frequency that the generation of various light patterns / heat..etc causes the effect.

Yeah I already have photos of things. Although supposedly Jinnn can fully appear as a human in this dimension and as such you would think that a picture could be taken.

Interesting, had not thought of photography in regards to jinn.

Know how it generally works for most supernatural things.
Frequency / spectrum thing. Our eyes only encompass so much spectrum. But as you can see from the advent of infrared, thermal and ultraviolet cameras. A lot more is being photographed.

I've only met 3 truly evil humans. Sure there are lots. Two of them most certainly had other things egging them on.
The other I think was just born f'ed up.
But yeah, lots of evil humans around.

And the fact is there is no unenviable evidence to suggest they do exist, other than religious texts and folklore, both of which are a product of Man.

Jinn are and interesting subject, but thats all they are without proof im afraid, And "One Thousand and One Nights" or Arabi Nisollasaya, just does not cut it.

Photos would be of interest, why not post them?

If I was actually on drugs. That would be a perfectly acceptable conclusion.

I'm not particularly interested in trying to convince anyone of anything.
I truly don't care even a little bit what others believe or don't believe.
Waste of time and effort.

And even if you don't care or believe in them.
I am still honestly after information on these things.
