He did it.

Why would he make the mistakes he is making?

Seriously it seems he wants out.

Am I the only person that feels he is trying to sabotage reelection?

Where is your evidence for this? So far this thread is lazy.

Nope... there are approximately 30% of American voters who feel exactly as you do.

Then there is the 70% that doesn't...

The thread is in General Chit Chat so it won't be here long anyways.

Why would any 70 year old billionaire want to become president of the USA in the first place?

The answer to your question is — Trump is an anomaly.

Can you elaborate on what you perceive as mistakes?

You may not like his personality, but his actual policies, and decisions are 90% in line with mine.

Not only that, but it appears to me he's having a helluva good time. 20,000 cheering fans at every rally? He eats that **** up, and he absolutes loves trolling his opponents.

I think he was very surprised he won. Now he's taking the opportunity to attempt to accomplish what he said he would. He may make mistakes in YOUR eyes, and probably his as well since he not a politician, but I do not think he's trying to get himself thrown out.

Trump speaks like a citizen and not as a politician. He doesn't parse his words or gets focus group groupthink, which way the winds blowing or any of that crap.

He wanted it and has wanted it for a very long time say what you want about him but I think it’s fair to say being president has been a long standing ambition of his.

I don’t think he is trying to sabotage his presidency I think that’s just trump being trump

Why would he make the mistakes he is making?

Because being a President isn't the same as being a CEO , his mistakes stem from him not understanding that.

I'm sure he could be doing other things a whole lot more glamorous and stress free but on the other hand he most definitely has the talent to pull the job off and has played his part to a Tee.

Anytime he makes a speech on television think about stepping into his shoes for those few minutes.
Or meets with foreign dignitary's to discuss world issues.

On another hand he will go down in history as a US President and that is something that very very few will ever achieve.

On another hand everything that Trump does or says that you think is so wrong, the Clinton's may have told him to do or say those things.

Its just a thought.

A star for the thought,
But I do wish you could have more meat on the bones...thing is, ATS has become such a hard porn Trump site, and the mother of invention/assumption/falsehood shills. You need much, much more...it's all out there, just look.
Trump only thinks about Trump is one way to go...and not much to do with any Republican party platform, just bumming his load and no doubt just a starter for ten.

I don't know. I saw him on Oprah Winfrey years ago, and she was trying to talk him into running. He didn't seem to want to be President. I think she thought he would run as a Democrat. He sure fooled her. He is kind of like an old school Democrat.

I know according to his family, he brought them together, sat them down and explained that the country was going to hell and he thought he was the one that could fix it.

Then he asked if they wanted him to, because Democrats and the media would do everything in their power to destroy him, the family, everything they had if he ran for President. They very well could lose everything.

He warned them and then said that if they didn't want to go through that then he wouldn't run.

They voted yes.

So the actual answer is no, he did not want to be President.

But he thought he was the only guy who could change America's course.

Which if you think about it took both a lot of balls and a hellova ego.

But here were are and he was right on all counts...

So highest wage growth in US history, record low unemployment, and highest quality of life in 20 years are his way of doing a bad job?

Dayum, imagine if he wanted to do a good job!

Correction, being a politician is not like being a CEO. He is not a politician, that is why he is the man we needed.

Obvious hit and run by the OP.
I am also interested in hearing what mistakes he or she thinks Trump has made.

Nope he seriously considered running in 1988 and he had a unsuccessful presidential campaign in 2000 with the reform party.
