Note that 5G comes in two flavours - 'Non Stand Alone' and 'Stand Alone'.

5G is not just the frequency, it is also a new arrangement of lots of comms kit.

Non Stand Alone is in fact the 5G facilities carried over 4G masts. This is how many places are rolling out 5G as it is quicker and cheaper than building a lot of new 5G masts.

With NSA the phone starts off with 4G when it registers, and then changes to 5G after negotiation.

All of which makes it more difficult to identify and classify!

RF radiation is classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), as “possibly carcinogenic to humans.” This is based on the finding of a possible link in at least one study between cell phone use and a specific type of brain tumor. Because RF radiation is a possible carcinogen, and smart meters give off RF radiation, it is possible that smart meters could increase cancer risk. Still, it isn’t clear what risk, if any there might be from living in a home with a smart meter.

Smart meters have not been studied to see if they cause health problems.

I refuse to have one fitted but someone moved in next door last year and had one fitted......and has moved out now.
Great huh.... shame he didn't take the smart meter with him.
