Pop Up Hell

It's so nice that loading times seem to be better since the server update. At the same time, now when I try to read ATS on my phone I can't through more than a couple texts before I get redirected to a pop up.

This is something that needs to get fixed ASAP, because as it stands this site is completely unreadable.

I agree. Ads were better at the bottom or to the sides instead of in middle constantly expanding the field of the board. Nothing is more annoying than trying to click something and suddenly having the entire space shift because the ad loads way slower than everything else and slower than I read and I end up clicking something else entirely.

There are whole websites I no longer read because they do stuff that way and I can't read them because they keep shifting out from under my eyes.

Yeah, things are getting wonky here at ATS. I don't mean the people - we always are - but the ads and workings...WONKED UP.

What I'm getting is worse than that. I'm getting completely redirected to another site after about a minute without clicking on anything.

Its punishment for complaining about the 27/34 issue.

We had it all.... for about 48 hours...

Oh no thats not what I am getting. I am getting plastered with ads all over the screen including within peoples avatars and within the posts themselves.
Redirecting to another page is a problem I have not encountered. Sorry.

All of the avatar pictures are ads. In each separate post, another ad. At the bottom is the worst ones. They load stacked and constantly move my page. The little "close ad" box in the top right of those bottom ads are Nothing but lies. They don't close. Ever. Only redirect to another page.

What are you talking about? Looks just fine to me. Where are the ads?

Why is any site being held to ransom for advertising?

If I worked with companies that did this, I'd simply drop them right there and then, go without till I worked out a solution, and not keep the members at this mercy.

First sign that it was hitting multiple members, it'd be gone. Enforced ad revenue, for not even clicking a thing, is not a choice, and I know not a single one of you is seeing one of these ads and going "Hey you know? I really do need my teeth whitened. Thanks random advert obscuring things as I read a post."

You can't just say "I sent them a rather concerned Email. Hope they understand." and expect someone who implements this style of attack advertising to just go "Oops, our bad.. fixed now."

I also find it odd that none of the higher ups are seeing any issues.. perhaps those within specific IP ranges are exempt.. so as to not disillusion the decision makes, whilst the mediocre and mundane cop the brunt of it. i dunno..

Last I was told a ticket had been submitted to our ad provider.

Why am I getting all these ads for CBD?

It does seem to be affecting more moderators now, but when it was first mentioned, most said they didn't have any issues, Mark even said that it appeared to be a strange thing, but he can't replicate it.

Either way, I am still stoked that the deep trench has gone away. that was my biggest gripe..

How is it that people still get Ads in 2019? There are simple workarounds for every platform.
