Trump has begun his Fourth of July speech and the first thing I noticed was.....

Among all the people up there on the stage behind him, I can see no MAGA hats. No red ones at least. This is in stark contrast to so many of the other rallies he has given where people are decked out to the 9s in Maga clothing....

Could it be that in this case, in order to give the impression that this is a bi-partisan crowd, that all of those people were asked, or told, to not where MAGA stuff?

I don't know this of course, but that was the first thing that struck me about the crowd.

The first thing that struck me was the bulletproof glass and those folks behind him having the only clear shot.

No MAGA hats and the only clear shot - that US flag cowboy hat on old mate looks pretty good though.

You're right. There are however some blue check marks on the internet suggesting that this is a waste of time and money and is indeed nothing more than a campaign rally and/or about him and him only.

First time he has been behind protective glass that I remember wonder if they had a credible threat or its just an abundance of caution

I've seen him behind protective glass before. I remember after he spoke in Warsaw he wandered out from behind the glass to bask in the applause after his speech. It was funny.

It was inspiring. A real tribute to our Armed Forces and the relentless American spirit. Don't like it, just remember who earned that right to dislike it. Freedom is free.

It seems like a PR stunt, Trump has proven to be on the nose within the members within his own party, I feel for those trailer Park voters who backed him.

America deserves better, no matter left or right.

I really missed the "lock her up" chants.

And it was great to learn how the army took over the airports from the British during the revolutionary war. I had no idea....
