Thought it was neat enough to share, so before you all castigate me too harshly me please rememeber I have a child's mind, mostly.

My mind is ageless and enjoys nurturing the child within.

Speaking of child, It's 6am here. I am about to drive 30 kilometers and play dodgems with kangaroos just to get a pouch of tobacco', then 30 klicks return. If I was a bit more grownup I'd wait till 8am.

Good morning everyone.

Kind regards,

Bally.

Me, a psychic? I'll have to do a card reading to find out.

While you're at it, what are the winning power ball numbers for tomorrow?

Do a card reading for the Shed. Will danger lurk around the corners where good prevails over evil? Will Troll accidentally ruin all the Halloween decorations? Will the guys all be drunk in the mancave? You know, things like that.

You have six more numbers to go.

a reply to: Night Star

Sure but then I'd have to adopt your husband too. Otherwise I think he'd have a problem with it.

No, I'm very shy of that. The big bucks stand taller than me. Most of the roos here are smaller. Some wallabies and potaroos as well. Met some this morning and don't trust them on the road. Saw half a dozen or so roadside. They run off the side of the road and sometimes turn around a straight across the front of the car.

Score since we've lived here our score is 4 and 1 cow. Insurance company loves us...not. Snakes and lizards not included as I can't recall how many we've run over.

This mornings drive effort saw a mixed grill of wildlife hit by motorists overnight. 1 roo, 1 wallaby, 1 potaroo, 1 possum, 1 smelly fox! lizard and a couple of birds I couldn't identify. Crows were having a feast. You can tell they're fresh from the blood and innards. Tally that up over a year and it's a lot just on the small section of road. It's seasonal to be fair but the dry is bringing the animals closer to home and roads. Wind the windows up on a warm day, there are a few smelly carcasses but the feral wild life cleans them up quickly. Always reminds me of that song, "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road."

Sad but it goes to show how many more must be in the bush. I have 2 mobs of roos sharing the selection here at different times.

Kind regards,

bally

So many animals lose their homes to modern day man.
Highways and buildings are everywhere and there are less trees and wildlife. I always feel bad for the ones that don't make it. I mean, you have to wonder, did that poor thing have a family depending on it somewhere?
