The idea that it's not considered a mental disorder is baffling.
I might be baffling to you but its the view of the scientific and medical community that gender dysmorphia is in fact, not a mental illness.
You can agree or disagree but the fact remains.
Well if the medical community would recognize the medical issue of gender dysporia as a direct link to mental issues like suicide, maybe we could save a hell of a lot of people.
The fact is a lot of confused people are dying by their own hand.
I would say that some dehumanized people are dying by their own hand.
I think it's sad that people who like doing things outside society's rigidly idea of what is a man and what is a women are now pushed to think their entire physical existence is wrong, they're wrong, so much that they become suicidal and mutilate themselves with drugs and surgeries trying hard to fit inside those narrow stereotypes.

To make a blanket statement as if there is no dissent is intellectually dishonest... and to make such a blanket statement when we know that dissent is being silenced and dissenters are harassed, bullied and punished is gaslighting. There are many within the scientific and medical communities, as well as the psychological/psychiatric communities who do NOT agree with the current theories and beliefs being portrayed as fact and science.
You can agree or disagree but the fact remains.
Indeed. There are theories and beliefs... and then there facts and science.
And the OP is about the bullying, silencing, and punishing of those who dare to disagree.
I feel like you're taking this way to personally.
Personally I suspect that you are being wilfully ignorant
Its either that or you just being stupid and I honestly don't believe thats the case, so which is it?

So passion for ones opinion is something we suspend people for? How about those walkouts. Those are pretty disruptive. Suspensions should be the order of the day, right?
I do not support the usurpation of real women for fake sense of inclusiveness.

Thank you.
"Gender" has been literally re-defined in my lifetime, with the attempt to re-define "woman" in a man's image in accordance with some of the worst stereotypes, and thus un-defining every woman in the process!
But we are still here!!!
The current effort to usurp our rights, privacy, safety and dignity was and is my red line. (Well, one of three actually).

You want to know the ugly truth of what is really going on?
Chemicals in our environment are altering the natural biology of pre pubescent children and developing teens. Namely ones found in plastics that mimic oestrogen the female hormone. There are also others that affect our biology causing the increase in gender issues and identity. TPTB know about this but rather than do anything to prevent it instead they are encouraging schools to teach kids that there are multiple genders. It’s also part of the long term goal to blur the lines between male and female, feminising men and emasculating women.
That is to make future generations into more placid and conforming individuals.

The dictionary definition of gender has been altered too.

Maybe some places but from what I've seen those gun control walkouts resulted in no suspensions.

Language evolves over time, its just how it works, new words get added, definitions evolve. Doesn't make the new ones wrong or the old ones for that matter (which were right in their time) its just the evolving nature of language.
