NXIVM Cult Leader KEITH RANIERE Found Guilty Today - Twitter Users Happy. MSM Mostly Silent.

Today, KEITH RANIERE, the leader of the cult known as NXIVM, was found guilty of a variety of charges (See below).

Keith Raniere, the founder of the "Nxivm" self-help company that prosecutors said secretly housed a sex cult, was found guilty of racketeering, sex trafficking and other crimes.

The verdict: Raniere, 58, was found guilty on all seven counts, including racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy, forced labor conspiracy, sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and attempted sex trafficking.

About the cult: The guilty verdict represents a remarkable fall for Raniere, who created Nxivm in 2003. The self-help group provided classes to nearly 17,000 people, including prominent figures like "Smallville" actress Allison Mack and Seagram's liquor heiress Clare Bronfman.

But within Nxivm, Raniere also ran a secret group known as "DOS" or "The Vow" that functioned like a cult with Raniere at its head. Mack and Bronfman, who were both part of the inner DOS group, pleaded guilty in April to various charges to avoid trial.

This trial generated a TON of attention in various online circles. Even the mainstream media covered it at little bit, in its early days.

But the local and national mainstream media outlets are not giving prominence to the final verdict today at all. I just watched the CBS Nightly news. Not a peep. The local Chicago news...not a peep. Haven't seen anything on FoxNews TV, or CNN TV, either.

Yet many Twitter channels are filled with elated people! (3 of many many examples)

From what I gather, there are (were) very powerful and influential people involved with NXIVM who have escaped being prosecuted. Could some of these people be controllers of the corporations who own ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, etc..? And maybe some politicians too? This morning, I saw that Senator Chuck Schumer's "running tab for services" was part of the evidence cache.

Is a guilty elite, possibly why the Mainstream Media suddenly stopped covering the trial in a prominent manner, and are barely mentioning the GUILTY verdict of Keith Raniere today?

Thanks for posting this. I hadn't seen anything about it in the news. I hope that all that are guilty are brought to justice. Not just one scapegoat.

The whole reason this story gained notoriety is due to the MSM.

Also, isn't the whole conspiracy that the Left leaning media (read: CNN) is complicit in all of this. So if CNN is reporting on the verdict and someone like Fox or Breitbart isn't, doesn't that pretty much flip the whole conspiracy theory on its head?

Some people think that the media is downplaying the story by not reporting about connections to political figures and the child molestation angle.
If you are hearing it on the TV and radio, then I guess I am wrong and they are making a big deal about sitting Senators and former first ladies/SOS being connected to the organization.... you know, making a huge scandal of it.... like Russia Collusion.

Who are these Senators and Hillarys you're referring to? The only big tie I can find between NXIVM and politics is that they considered Chuck Schumer their enemy. What do you know? Not only is CNN one of the outlets reporting on the verdict, but NXIVM hated one of the leaders of the Democratic Party.

This conspiracy keeps falling apart by the post.

I think the idea of being ignored by the media is less about it not being reported in print but more about how the airwaves are still hot with back and forth partisan bickering and they spend but a few minutes on stories like this, and all day and night long going on about how the president is destroying the country.

I liken it to the OJ Simpson trial or even the more recent Casey Anthony trial.

Media circus. Every day and night.

Or it doesn’t even have to be murder, I remember them going on and on about “octomom” a few years ago, remember the woman who had 8 babies with ivf and then went on welfare?

I think it’s just that people are starting to see how some things are given more attention and then some things are glossed over as if they aren’t a big deal

People are just privy to the notion that media is controlled by something other than the goal of getting news worthy information and facts to the general population.

Do celebrity breakups or singers/actors coming out with their political opinions (think Taylor Swift) (Robert deniro) (Alyssa Milano) actually exist as something more important to most of the population than the fact that a literal sex cult disguised as a legitimate self help organization had recruited over 17,000 members including many wealthy elite and people in places of power with connections to our government? No, I think they do not, and thats why you continually hear from those of us who realize that, that the news media is fake.

It’s a much more complex issue than “they did report it. See, here’s the story I googled”

It’s just frustrating for those who see through the propaganda to continually have people coming at you from every angle saying “your wrong. they did report it”

I guess what we need to start looking for is a better way to articulate the idea of things “going viral”

I remember a few years ago when a gorilla got shot at the zoo because a child climbed into the cage or something.

It went viral for daysssssss. But it was just a freak accident at a zoo with an animal.

This was a sex cult that hood winked at least 17,000 members and did unspeakable harm to a good bit of those human beings.

It hasn’t went viral.

That’s what we mean by fake news. It’s complex.

If you know nothing of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's involvement (and her father) or Hillary connections, then you are the one that needs to do more research.
It seems that you are relying on the MSM to report the details. They don't.
