Did they provide their unexploded mine to anyone for forensic analysis?

What makes you think they didn't? Iran isn't run by goat farmers, you know.

No, that's not what the video shows.

That's exactly what it shows.

What makes you think they did?

See I can play that game too.

Except I'm not the one saying that they did without supply any proof.

Lol

Please tell us who you think planted the mines on the Japanese ships?

Was it reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Trump in your mind?

I get that they're magnetic and placement can be chosen, but I'll clarify why the above the water confuses me.

Iran is trying to come from a place of denial. They know we have drones all over the region, and more specifically the strait given last months incidents. So why make it so visible when they have an intimate understanding of our drone capabilities (they captured one of ours which has catapulted their drone program).

Second, under water would have done more damage while making it harder to pin the blame on them... Serving two purposes, more dame= more fear, and preserving their leverage while harder to place accusation.

The premise we're lead to believe by Pompeo is that Iran is the only country "sophisticated enough" to carry this out, yet it's almost implied this country of unmatchable sophistication (lol) had such poor execution.

I wouldn't be horribly surprised if it was Iran... But after the last few decades, my governments executive officials really have to do more to prove their accusations... And right now they are speaking in absolutes soon after without providing evidence, which has undertones of past mistakes at best, malice lies to fufil agendas at worse.

Why would they dumb down the optics to an even lower quality than I can buy from a drone bought on Amazon? It makes more sense that they lowered the quality so the noone can identify anything.

Whenever I try to think something through I try to think of as much nuance, possibilities, and motives as I can (I'm a glorified chimp, so not much lol).

Sometimes I provide the Devils advocate against myself.

In the olden days, we had nothing but the msm to tell us what government wanted us to believe.

Now we have access to information within minutes or even seconds, from all over the world. In addition, we have seen that there is a deep state who will, when they can't control the populace, use pretty much any means necessary to destroy the will of the people. We also know that people in our government are lying sacks of garbage. (Used as an example only: A lot of the Hillary emails that were exposed showed a whole lot of full on bs, and information that was kept from the public that the public should have known - we were lied to a lot - and it's not the first time. This time, however, we had undeniable proof.)

People don't believe what our government says anymore. And if you take the time to pay attention not only to what is happening right this second, but put things together from the past - retention would be a great skill to teach people - you should immediately question, not immediately accept whatever line you're fed.

At this point, if anyone out there still blindly trusts anyone in our government - you're just willfully ignorant.

Nation states have been after Iran for a very, very long time. Go back a decade, 2 decades. Read the news from then. Watch political debates from then. Ask who stands to gain from attacking Iran. It's not you. It's not me. It's not anyone in our military. And it sure as hell is not "for our freedom".

Give then tension in the gulf and piracy issues, no one watches and then misses a boat coming along side and attaching a mine. No wonder a bunch of third world guys in boats with outboards can take over a commercial tanker and hold it for ransom.

If Iran did do it it sure points out how bad security is.

1: wanted to acknowledge your clarification...

2: I can't paste your entire post .... but you have thought it out and to be perfectly honest, you raised a very valid point that I can not argue with.

I don't trust Iran, but I don't trust the CIA either. It's been my experience from family that had worked in the CIA to let slip since the 70's that even the POTUS is kept in the dark sometimes about what agents in the field will do.

Thank you kindly sir, that means alot coming from someone who I'm a big fan of.

And yes, neither can be trusted mainly because iran has threatened to do acts of this nature, and we have people embedded into the current admin who make no secret of their end game. Shared many times, Bolton's oped on Iran in NYT

So, the thought experiment I have is this, does Iran act before they have the capacity for a full scale confrontation? I just can't figure out why they would. I could however, see people blame anything they can on Iran to justify nullifying their nuclear capabilities in the future.

Military Coup...

Gotta say! You think rationally.

EDIT: FEELINGS ARE MUTUAL.... can't say how many times you stated in such a fashion that I had to say.... "CriticalStinker is right!"

They're pretty good at it, no doubt.

Of course, "mobile weapons labs" got us into the last middle east war, and that was utter horse manure.

You're far to kind sir.😁

My biggest question is if they wanted to do this while denying it... Is why not use subs and a diver?

This is why I'm inclined to think it might have been a frame job, though the who is another question in its own.

The problem I see is if someone is trying to escelate tensions, was this enough? Or can we expect more?

My guess is we'll start doing escorts here soon, which could provide an environment to really light the powder keg.

When Iran has seen 3 nearby countries bombed back into the stone age, why would they do this? knowing that the US will do it to them. Do people really Iran stupid.

Iran has not invaded any country in the last 200 years.

America invaded and took over Iraq and now plunders its oil.
America invaded and took over Afghanistan and now plunders their rare earths and oil.
Is that America now wants to invade Iran and plunder their oil resources or is that the US govt has been infiltrated by a small friendly and very powerful country.

"Every time we do something you tell me Americans will do this and will do that. I want to tell you something very clear. Don’t worry about American pressure on Israel; we the Jewish people, control America and the Americans know it.

Iran responsible for 'blatant assault' on oil tankers in Gulf of Oman, Mike Pompeo says!

Well, Pompeo says a lot of things, doesn't mean they are true!

To be honest, I'd rather see the likes of Pompeo, BoltOn and other warmongers, everywhere, dropped on an island somewhere to fend for themselves, away from anywhere they can any more harm. Hanging from a lamppost would also work, but I don't see that acting like them helps at all..... right now!

Escorts is an appropriate response and negotiations, but as you said just ratchets up the tension. Obviously, somebody is trying to goad you into a war you want to avoid doing so, till they at least find out who and why.

Interesting article about what war with Iran would look like

Pompeo has jumped the gun and I do not know who the hell briefed him but they did a mighty bad job!

So wheres your evidence? Iran supports the Rebels in the Yemen civil war since 2004. The Frontline [Norwegian] owned ship was the one that MSM is using as a picture [flames and fire] when they are writing about the Japanese owned ship. Why? To confuse us and sell the pushed Deep State MSM narrative? So both ships were sailing out from the Strait towards the Arabian Sea. The Frontline [Norwegian] owned ship which caught fire was struck from the Yemen side whereas the Japanese owned ship was struck on the Iran side. Me thinks that the Houthi rebels shot something at the Frontline ship as it was nearest to Yemen and that ignited some of the rouge religious fervor made for TV disco dancers who support Iran and those are the guys in the boat. So why don't you just say the the US Navy made a fake video?

Me wonders where are all the 24 / 7 security videos from the Japanese Oil Tanker that monitor all sides of the ship so as to protect from Piracy or Terrorists. Is that why the owner is spinning that a flying something to get around an insurance claim rejection. Hmmm.

I am confused. The two tankers are the Kokuka under the flag of Panama and the Front Altair under the Marshall Islands flag. Or am I looking at the wrong ships?

edit because I had the flags reversed.

Maybe Iranian video of them defusing the bomb and saving the day?

Isn't that what the video showed? They took down an unexploded ordinance, apparently. I fail to see how a video of people taking down an unexploded ordinance proves they put it there in the first place.

Are all Trump supporters that gullible?

No, that's not what the video shows.

Lolz

The video shows an iranian boat taking it off and getting out of there as fast as possible.

Make up your mind.
