Came across some corny website several years back. Crystallinks.com I think it was. Had a big section on mantuak and secret military base/ experiments

I saw this documentary back in 1984.

Now it's listed as SCI/FI. That's possible because the main character looks a lot like Eddie.

Wait! Eddie didn't go down with the car, he got transported through a temporal rift to 1943, so that he could open the rift, then when the experiment took him to 1984, 20 years after his disappearance, he had amnesia about being Eddie and thought he was the Navy guy.

That's all I know, or speculate anyway.
