What happened to ""Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door"?

Dude read the small print...

exclusions apply to they gays, the blacks, the immigrants, the Muzzies and/or the liberals.

To clarify, for those of you who lack a sense of humour that is a joke....

Asked another way, should the Straight Pride flag be flown at US Embassies (or any other government establishment)? Christian flag? Confederate flag?

I think you know the answer.

Straight pride....

Yes because as a heterosexual I feel so persecuted.....

This has nothing to do with feelings, but thanks for trying.

You mean the poem that was written independently of the actual statue and won a contest to be placed on a plaque afterwards? The poem that has nothing to do with the artist who designed the statue nor the government that accepted the gift? The poem that some people think (falsely) defines US immigration policy?

That poem?

...What about it?

No claiming that criticising or disrespecting Trump equals disrespecting all Americans is utterly moronic and hypocritical considering that you seem to think this only applies to Trump. Daddy Trump disrespected Obama with his moronic claims about Obama's heritage therefore by your logic he was disrespecting all Americans and by extension even you.

Therefore, again by your logic, not mine, you are supporting a man who has personally disrespected you.

So sad to see someone with such little self-respect like that.....

or it could be that you made a stupid comment and now backed into a corner with it are unable to admit to being wrong.

You pick am happy with either really.

Nope
You claimed to love america then crapped on half of us.
Your comments about trump are of no issue, the comments about his supporters, every day americans are the issue.
Your definition of love is skewed.

Your love for obama is disgusting.
Not surprising from a euro tho.
You guys are used to your govt spying on you.

I AM indigneous, My Family even fought for the King of England, and was KICKED OUT OF THE USA.

they crossed back over the boarder in the 1890's to do the "work Americans refuse to do". ( lumber in the U.P of Michigan)

My family does not have the stain of slavery on it,and it's documented.

I'm still waiting to see the rainbow flag on the UK embassies or is that ONLY for American embassies?

Ellis Island was a place you had to stay, to eliminate pestilence and they sent MANY back to country of origin, so there is presedent.

Yes, we can indeed.

Taking the proverbial urine out of just about everything is kind of our bag up here.

What can i say, it's rather cold, and we tend to get rather board chasing all those wee Haggis around in the pale moonlight.

A healthy measure of disrespect is not a bad thing really, if they are going to shovel it, then we are going to slag it i suppose.

So just a nation of trolls?
Lol
No worries
Seems Alabama has more to offer than your tiny nation anyway.
And their jokes are actually funny....

Disagreeing with someones politics and giving them a bit of a roasting for it is not same as disrespecting the nation for it.

Me saying Trump supporters need to accept that they are supporting a liar is not me disrespecting the entire nation of America. Its me being critical of your politics, not disrespecting your entire nation because I believe your politics are questionable.

This however.....

Your love for obama is disgusting.

Is a pretty good example of disrespecting not just a nation but an entire continent.

It would be like me saying something like "not surprised to see stupid comments like this, you can't help it, you are American" however I know that fortunately you and the members of ATS do not represent thing thinking of most Americans.

This meltdown you're having is actually kind of funny to watch....does this even make sense?

Do you think Trump isn't using the five eyes?

Can we at least try to get back on topic, I mean you're constant posting about me is flattering but am not sure what this has to do with flying a pride flag over US embassies?

Go on just try to post something on topic that we can discuss because as narcissistic as I am constantly talking about me is getting a little dull.

Not as fun as brexit and the winging that accompanies that(you get that other vote yet?)
And it will be a full on blast when barak has to explain himself to the class.

As to flags and USA embassies; only one flag is to be flown and its not a rainbow flag per the state department.
Is there a rainbow nation?

Congratulations....you posted your first on topic sentence in this entire thread

So is your issue then that its a matter of protocol, rather than the use of the flag. In that case what about flying the flag along with the US flag. Its long been the case that the other flags can fly so for example you might have a US flag at the gate along with a accompanying flag(s) depending on the nation.

Would you have a problem with this, just adding the rainbow flag to fly along with those other flags if not over the building itself?

I mean they have been doing this for years, its been a long standing thing that embassies do, I don't quite get why its a problem now.

also this is a disastrous move by the Trump government, it's going to disenfranchise members of the LBGQT communities unnecessary during an election year.

I cannot see any advantage of this or reason for it.

Look dude as flattering as that is if you want to keep up with the fanmail then feel free to send a u2u but if you want to we can continue to discuss the use of rainbow flags at embassies.
