That Star Trek movie had as its premise the Voyager being found by another intelligent species, REALLY beefed up and sent back to Earth.

The bald fit eye-candy that AM was talking about was played by Persis Khambatta, the picture I posted.

I have officially dated myself.

Haha, that's some good memory and call outs.

Although, my scenerio was a little bit different as it was saying instead of life, sentient inorganic intelligence.

It was OMG horrible.

Persis was the only bright spot in it...

And she's not the brightest star in the sky.

The intelligence that found Voyager was machine-based.

Perhaps a supposedly alien species finding V2 and the golden record, would think:
"Holy crap! They still have some gold left. Let's go get it!"

Don't.

I would love a sci-fi film based on a devil star and a long lost human spacecraft, some films have dealt with this, but i feel Hollywood could do better than "Event Horizon".

Doctor Who did engage with this idea:-

I would love a film based on the true meaning of religion with a spaceship sent to a distant star to see if Hell really existed..... I'm an Archaeoastronomer, so i know what star filled ancient people with the most fear, it is called ALGOL, it sounds like a good horror film, doesn't it?
