Considering this announcement from a few days ago, I see no reason not to expect BG3 on Xbox One as well.

Larian is the developer of the Divinity series and hasn't taken a crack at D&D yet. Based on how solid the Divinity games have been, this may be a glorious offering they're working on with BG3.

Most attempts at D&D games lately have been a mess... I had high hopes for the return of Neverwinter nights...

they turned it into an mmo, it wasn't bad... but it wasn't a D&D game anymore.... turned out to be your standard pay to win pile of crap with nice graphix

I started with the Gold Box games. For me, nothing after Dark Sun really felt like a true D&D game, although Planescape grew on me.

I agree. Maybe they can make it a pay to win type game with death matches with other players who are a minimum of 342% more powerful than you. Guarantee it would be a hit!!!!

NWN is still active as far as I know, there's an enhanced edition available on steam for linux, mac and windows, it regularly goes on sale for about $5. I've been tempted every time but not sure.if.ibwsmt to replay it.

It will be Baldur's Gate in name only. All franchises try to cash in on the brand name 20 years after the fact and it never works.

yup... they need to make it like the old Neverwinter nights/baulders gate.... keep with classic... it works

but they won't... it will be mmo… pay to win... another clone to be dumped on the garbage pile with the rest

I grabbed a copy just so i'd always have it... still one of the best games ever made

and the online multiplayer is still pretty active... even my old server is still up and running like 20 years later

Anything Larian Studios will be good
There are a few names that I will buy their games almost sight unseen
Larian is one of the them

They will offer their video games ‘as a service’ BS that so many producers are doing these days.

Bring your team, sound's a bit like another MMO to me.

But just possibly they will deliver what people really want an open world first person co-operative/single player game with NPC followers, show Bethesda how it should be done.
