Well ... is she a woman who is using the same kind of
excuse child porn people do - 'I only had the porn because
I was researching a book'. Or is she really an innocent
person, a woman who is cleaning up the streets around
her and this just isn't what it looks like??

She says this is a shakedown by cops to get her to
'give up info'. Well ... if she has info, she shouldn't
have to be shook down to get it. Afterall, she is
supposedly trying to clean up the streets, right?

Anti-gun activist arrested after firearm found at home

A Springfield woman who began lobbying against gun violence after her son was shot to death in 2002 was arrested last week when police allegedly found an illegal gun and drugs in her home.

Annette "Flirty" Stevens, however, said Monday she's innocent, and the arrest is an attempt by police to get her to give up information about unsolved crime in the city.

The handgun, which had a scratched-off serial number, and drugs allegedly were discovered Friday morning inside Stevens' home in the 2500 block of South 15th Street. Authorities said they obtained a search warrant for the residence as part of an ongoing investigation of a recent series of drive-by shootings. No one has been hurt in the gunplay.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the search.

Although police declined to get into specifics, Stevens has a "close connection" with one of two feuding groups involved in the shootings, Lt. Rickey Davis said Monday.

Flyers fan, you just don't understand.

It is okay for the anti-gun people to have access to guns, either by owning them of hiring others to possess them.

Anti-gun people are wise indeed; proof of this can be seen by the fact that they realize that guns themselves are murderers. Therefore, as wise people, they should be allowed to have whatever guns they need as they tell the rest of us how bad they are.

You and I, though, are not wise, because we do not understand the malevolent intelligence resident in all guns (especially the ones painted black, with a pistol grip and a removable magazine). Since we are too stupid to understand the real truth about guns, we must give them up and let the truly wise people like Jesse Jackson, Teddy Kennedy, Michael Moore, and various Hollywood stars keep theirs.

Also, Washington Post editor, who is anti-gun, was arressted for shooting a kid who was swimming in his pool. The kid, and his friends were hot, had no pool, saw one, jumed the fence and went swimming. The editor woke up, went out, shot one with an unregistered gun.

A actress who is anti gun made a 911 call after shooting herself in the stomach while cleaning her unregistered gun.

Sorry, I do find it hypocritical that they are anti gun, but own them. I only had a problem with the inclusion of MM, who isn't anti-gun, just anti-WMDs in the hands of the people. But like I said, no real reason to ban the 50 caliber anti tank/airplane gun, for one has never been used in a crime. One might if this douchebag keeps flying his damn airplane at tree top levels at 9am every freaking morning. Although, could shoot it with a .22, he flies low enough.

I think you're always going to find that when someone becomes elite enough to judge whether or not someone else can or cannot possess something, in their mind, they always exclude themselves for a number of various reasons.

Case in point: The freedom for Iraqis. You don;t see a single Iraqi posting that they want to live under tyranny. That decision is easiest made for them by someone who will be indirectly affected by it.

Case in Point: The elitist I like to call "Gulfstream Enviros" who somehow have bestowed upon themselves the right to limit the fuel each of us burn in a car while jetting around everywhere they go burning more petrol in one typical flight than most of us will use in an entire year.

Case in Point: The limosine liberal who demands the right to confiscate every else's money in the name of the less fortunate and then gets in their limo and leaves ..after being paid for the appearance that is.

Case in Point: The "starbucks warrior " who quietly sips a latte made with electricity in a cafe illuminated by electricity using a laptop made with technology and running on electricity to type a post about how he or she thinks (enter third world county here) is better off with their culture (starvation and sickness) preserved from the evils of technology.

My point is this. We are seeing an epidemic in this rational of thinking and it has grown in the last decade or so into an entity which takes the very ludicrous and makes it seem appropriate. Like the summit held in Africa a few years back. Here we had leaders from the most technologically advanced countries in the world assembled at the grandest hotel being served an endless array of the finest catered food and drink while a mile away, children drank from septic puddles of rainwater mixed with livestock urine. Then they have the nerve to worry about preserving such atrocity. Then most got pissed because George Bush did not attend. Hell fire! I would not have attended either. Instead, we were busy drafting 15 million dollars in the budget for aid to Africa.

One thing is for sure, people cannot eat good intentions or inflated egos.

The same with the guns. Anyone who thinks they should be able to have something that everyone is banned from having hasn't the mental ability to safely use a weapon.
