Haven't posted to ATS in many years, as I lost interest, but I caught what I think is an interesting synchronicity just now and thought to share it
somewhere, looking for opinions, thus my post here. Maybe it's all silly anyway...
So, a movie is coming out end of the summer, titled "Ad Astra", trailer below:
At 1:46 they say "This September"...Ok. Then a rocket is flying towards the Moon. There's some lights on the dark side of the Moon, presumably
multiple bases?
At 1:54 they are speeding across the surface of the Moon, lasers blasting and all. September, the Moon buggies, and someone reaching for a laser gun
triggered a recollection of something I read many many years ago: Battle of the Harvest Moon (Dr. Better Audio Letters). And I thought, what are the
chances...
The movie is coming out September 20, 2019.
This year's full Moon in September also happens to be a Harvest Moon.
Neat.
So, I search "Battle of Harvest Moon" and the top hits are a thread here on ATS about
it that is short and concludes it's all fiction, but then another hit from ExoPolitics (posted this April 2019) regarding a document that was
released by Wikileaks referring to a destruction of a U.S. base by USSR (UR) in the same time period of what Dr. Better claimed.
www.exopolitics.org.... Whether that document vindicates
Dr. Better or not, I don't know but ExoPolitics post is fairly recent making that story interesting again.
I really don't know the premise of the movie (or why they wear those uniforms?!) but I personally found all this interesting and thought to share it
here for some opinions.
In order to protect us the military has the capability to destroy us many times over is a common movie theme. Lasers and special materials capable
of producing planet destroying powers seems just more of the same.
If you think movies are somehow some kind of conspiracy programming the popular mind then the movie is either going to prepare us for first contact or
another 9/11 with lasers from space. Since 9/11 over a million Arabs have been killed. As long the US military keeps killing Arabs we will probably
not have another 9/11 anytime soon.
You haven't missed much by not posting in years. The site is way too political nowadays.
I always thought those in power used movies to test the public sentiment on various topics, but also to put things out in plain sight simply because
they are so outrageous that nobody believes them in the first place ("it's the movies"). Thus, they get away with it every single time, and we are
none the wiser.
Too bad for ATS going too political, it was more fun before. Politics eventually divides people beyond reconciliation.
