It's amazing to hear people talk about things like wire taps without warrants and say things like "I've got nothing to hide, so it doesn't bother me." What better way to control a democracy than to get the people to think they are coming to their own conclusions supporting policies the people in power wanted to be in place.

There's documentary evidence. And then there's commentary on what the evidence means. People have no distinction or concept of the difference between opinions and facts. For most people in this country "opinions" ARE "facts".
