Israeli Air Force Releases Video of Sunday Counter-Attack On Syrian Air-Defense Site

Well its not Memorial day, but I'll take it.

Damascus states it was attacked by missiles from the direction of the Golan Heights. I am guessing the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) locked onto it , so a JTAC team lased it for artillery strike. Not a bad operation guys Give us some more video, and you can jump start it back to Damascus. It was a hell of an event seeing that last stand. I got to start assembling together last stand videos from Aleppo, Mosul, Raqqa, Damascus and so on. Make for a killer first edition WW3 bootleg to sell!

Isn't this kind of business as usual in Syria though?

They even played nice and didn't hit Iranian assets (that we know of).

Edit: it is reported some Iranians may have been in the 10 killed. Personally I think we'll see increased activity until the Israel special election is complete.

It's not a counter-attack at all, the Syrian Air-Defense was responding to yet more Israeli violations into its airspace, hence why they're called "Air-Defense".

You're not wrong, but more than one country in that area has been known to have a "shoot first, figure out if they were in our airspace later" policy.

I wonder what would happen if they decided that they wanted to become a regional power and that we were in their way?

Could an air force base defend against that kind of firepower?

Just saying, after all both Iran and Iraq were both strong allies of the west at different times, then they had a new leader and now we're looking over our shoulder for suicide bombers.

For all most of us know those could be pictures of a trailer park in kansas. Too low res to even tell if they are real or CGI. Why don't they release the pictures in native resolution?

I would consider it business as usual , but Turkey also launched an invasion over the Iraq border on Friday as well, which would signal a wider regional operation has gone into effect.
