There is no stopping it - 5G will be everywhere soon

What pisses me off is how they sell off frequency spectrum to host these projects that end up in the hands of big businesses. The air waves should have more public domain IMO. Isn't the air free to breathe? We need more license free bands with higher output levels.

Right now the WiFi bands are license free to use, but we are limited to one watt of output power. One watt at those frequencies doesn't get you very far. With citizens band, that puny 4 watts of power doesn't go very far either and is restricted to analog along with too many other restrictions.

I'm an advocate of "free air" and would like to see the people have more of it rather than just give it away to all these businesses. The old pirate radio movement had the right idea in regards to free communications and the flow of unrestricted information. It was an early effort that promoted the broadcast of that evil rock-n-roll music that would destroy our youth and our culture just like jazz when it first became popular.

ETA: The networks have too much power over communications, we need more of that in the peoples hands. It may not get used that much, but it would be an option in this world of widespread state sponsored propaganda. We have the right to free speech, but no right to be heard and that sucks the big one.
