Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible nature. Unaware that the nature he is destroying is this God that he is worshipping - discuss

Almost all species will ruin their habitat through overpopulation if not kept in check by predation and disease.

Man has the mind of a child in the body of an adult , we are young as a species but if we survive our adolescence we are destined for great things , our future is among the Stars.

The tide is turning the transition is happening , all be it slowly.

Cheers - Dave

I would have to agree in many ways.

Some do, some do not..
And those who have the power the change to world are busy getting rich and pointing fingers

Ban all forms of plastic in the world
And ban the use of fossil fuels before the year 2030
And ban all animal meat farms.

Sounds expensive.. sounds hard.. yes, and the political leaders do not have what it takes to build a better future collectively

One must look beyond Hubert Reeves. (Although he does make a good point)

Listen to Terence McKenna:
“You are a divine being. You matter, you count. You come from realms of unimaginable power and light, and you will return to those realms.”

LOL! More like man is the most arrogant and ignorant of species...

The first law of thermodynamics, also known as Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another.
Source
We don't have the power to destroy nature no matter how hard we tried. Can't happen. Nor can mankind create or alter anything outside of the laws of nature. Anything and everything we do is subject to the laws of nature. Humanity is a known and intended variable within nature... part and parcel of nature... created by the same Creator...

It's the brief moments of sanity that keep driving me insane.

Not all men.

Some cultures have admiration, reverence and respect for nature, holding it sacred.

Maybe the culture here in America not so much.

Some N. American indian tribes thought about everything they did keeping the thought that it should be sustainable for 7 generations.

And in Japan one of the main religions Shinto is a nature religion - that reveres and views G-d as nature. It is reflected in the way the country is managed.

I have chosen to respond in my own thread: Something about Sol

Exlpanatory note: I have discovered recently that I am quite jealous of my thoughts and stuff that I write. Specifically in cases in which someone asks a very short question and I respond with a well researched and thought out response.

Ban superpacs and ban dark money. That may be a start.

Speak for yourself, LS.
My town has Four bins now, blue, grey, brown and purple.. dogs poo gets picked up, and there's no kids hanging about in gangs at shops, like I was 20 years ago, it's good to highlight the negative though as it hastens change.

I can't confirm or deny, because I don't know Shinto.

but, I think Japanese population is declining rather than increasing. Seems good to me. Maybe other peoples should try it. Over population of apex predators can't be a good thing.
