Why AG Barr added Federal Prosecutor John Durham to the SPYGATE and COUP Investigation.

Apparently, Federal Prosecutor JOHN DURHAM was chosen by Attorney General William Barr to become the lead investigator of the SPYGATE scandal, because evidence is pointing to a massive operation that involved at least 5 government entities. (CIA-NI-FBI-DOJ-WH)

On May 11, Rod Rosenstein left the Department of Justice after a distinguished 29-year career. On May 13, it became public that Attorney General William Barr has tasked U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John Durham to look into the origins of the investigations into the Trump campaign.

This means Durham will receive the evidence that the teams working under DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and U.S. Attorney for Utah John Huber have been collecting for more than a year and a half.

So despite what you may be hearing from some media commentators, Durham won’t be starting an investigation from scratch with nothing. While some continue to insist that nothing was happening until 10 minutes ago when Barr arrived, the truth is quite different.

Investigations into the Spygate plotters and leakers, such as former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Assistant Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI general counsel James Baker, and many others were already started long ago.

Durham is going to be the immediate beneficiary of all that hard work. His appointment by Barr means that a lot of things that have been kept out of sight are going to start coming out.

Those involved in the Spygate plot to spy on a presidential campaign and then attempted to orchestrate a coup against an incoming presidential administration got to take their best shot at Trump first. Comey got the special counsel he wanted to be appointed, and for two years, they were led to believe they had Trump on the ropes.

Now the plotters are the ones who are going to be investigated. They’d better gird their loins.

We have to hope that this actually leads to something and isn't just a show like Russiagate became. I'm all for the connections and lies and back room deals to come out into the open but I want to see it done before those who took part in said dirty deals.

(Also I'd love to see CNN and their ilk watch as the fabled Hillary Clinton be dragged kicking and screaming into an orange jumpsuit but we know she'll skip country or fall off the map before anything truly happens to her or anew dirty deal)

Russiagate was only a show for the liberal media, there was a huge amount of real investigative work that left no stone unturned. I expect the same here. If any crimes are committed they will be turned up I hope.

People like Brennan, Comey and Clapper will continue to move the goalposts back until there's no more stadium left. And I believe we are nearing that point, and deep down, they all know it. John Durham has a wonderful career, he's had bipartisan support, and is seemingly looked at as a bulldog... The more eyes on this, the better... Fingers crossed!

Attorney General William Barr answered questions from FoxNews today, but not Jerry Nadler..ha ha!

Thus far, he's finding a lot of inconsistencies and lies from Spygate suspects.

Mueller also knew if he couldn’t find anything to stitch trump up with... he would need to cover up and destroy information of the coup, mess up and break up the puzzle before handing over his no collusion no obstruction report etc

The question is... why didn’t mueller find anything about the coup and report his findings in the final report ?

You are spot-on, TritonTaranis. Ironically, Government Prosecutor JOHN DURHAM wanted to indict Bob Mueller in 1999 for framing 4 innocent men, but AG Janet Reno didn't give Durham that much authority.

Unfortunately that sounds more to me like Hannity is trying to hype up what will be an underwhelming report from the IG. I held high hopes that the IG would do a real investigation and come out with solid evidence against the wrongdoing. When I was in the Air Force, IGs had a reputation of being fair and dedicated. I hope I'm wrong, but this sounds like it's going to be a dud and guys like Hannity are trying to get ahead of it to convince viewers it's a big deal.

They clashed pretty extensively at the 2016 convention. Sanders supporters caused havoc the entire 4 days, booing speakers as they took the stage, booing any mention of Hillary, chanting their Bernie slogans and otherwise causing all kinds of disruptions. The media just didn't show it because, as always, the media was covering for the Democrats. They didn't want to make the party look divided, but it very much was.

Take Chris Wallace for instance. His comments about AG William Barr's FoxNews interview this morning are being used extensively in liberal/left news publications. From the left-leaning "Daily Beast" today:

The Fox News anchor went on to note that we had heard Trump complain openly for the past two years that he didn’t have an attorney general who would look out for him and protect his interests.

“He clearly has that now with Bill Barr,” Wallace asserted. “Not saying that Barr isn’t right in everything he says. But he clearly is protecting this president and advocating his point of view on a lot of these issues.”

In addition to Chris Wallace, Fox News also has Sheppard Smith (who is either sick a lot, or under investigation), Judge Andrew Napolitano, Juan (100% Anti-Trump) Williams and most recently, Donna Brazile, as reliably LIBERAL in their on-the-air stances.

I don't think CNN or MSNBC have any key people who are CONSERVATIVES, do they?

Yeah I like to point this out to left wingers who have been told to think that Fox is 24/7 Trump support and all conservative all the time. These people literally think Hannity is on repeat every hour. Liberal views are actually fairly common to come across on Fox, and Fox will actually cover things that aren't particularly helpful to the President. It's a conservative network for sure, but it doesn't get the credit for at least attempting to provide some balance. In the media study that showed the liberal media were covering Trump 90% negative, Fox's coverage was something like 52% positive, 48% negative. That's about as balanced as you're gonna get. The guy who picks what stories to cover during the news hours is Shep Smith, who absolutely despises Trump and is well known to hold a number of liberal views.

But all this can be ignored because progressives have been told Fox isn't real news and does nothing but toe the line for Trump. They can't think for themselves, so this is what they will believe. Facts optional.

CNN tells people FOX is all ultra right wing. So when my parents visited they said they hate FOX because they have no liberal viewpoints, like their stations that have ultra right wing people like Morning Joe (who is not right wing at all). So I said watch, put on FOX, and within 10 seconds they were running anti-Trump news. About 5 minutes in half the stories were disagreeing with Trump. They still couldn't admit FOX was 50-50 and put on their liberal trash.

It doesn't matter how much # you throw at this particular wall nothing is going to stick because this is all in donald j trumps imagination and always has been.
They are humoring him knowing that nothing will come of it because this issue of the probes oranges (sorry I'm incorrigible sometimes) has already been examined and found to be completely legal and above board.

This is just continuing obstruction so that the very real threat of impeachment looming over his head is ignored.
Look at this...not that. We've been here so many times over the past two or three years.
Now he has an attorney general who will do his bidding where Sessions and Rosenstein would not. But I listen to Barr and he is very careful about the way he words things so that they wont come back to bite him.

Like when talking about this spying... Listen to his message,he uses the presidents own words, spy, witch hunt...
then listen when he says "I'm not saying that's what happened"
He skates along on thin ice quite easily and craftily if you ask me. He sounds like he's delivering the presidents message and he is and he even sounds like he agrees with it but there is always a disclaimer inserted in his speech even if it is veiled. He talks like a lawyer so that you really cant pin him down.

This newest investigation is only going to turn out the way the IG report did...
That yeah while it stinks and obviously people didn't like him they did their jobs without having that effect what their results were.
That they did not rely exclusively on the dossier to get the warrant against likely Russian asset Carter Page.
That no one spied on the president or then candidate trump.
But they may be able to drag it out until the election and then release the report in a heavily redacted but obviously the dems did something kind of way because we know how effective something like that can be at the right moment...
