Can I post information on an abducted teenage girl missing from my area?

I can’t recall ever seeing anything like this before on ATS and wanted to make sure it was within T&C before I posted.

I’m not on any other social media sites and I’m devastated by what’s happening. I want to do what I can to help this family get their daughter home safe and well, ATS is my only way to try and spread the word. Obviously I’ve asked friends with other outlets to help and they have been gracious in helping. I helped in the search today but it just doesn’t feel like enough.

I eagerly await a reply.

Are there any local news articles about this case you could link to? ATSA frowns on posting identifying personal information, but if you're just linking to a news article or similar....

Thank you!!!! Will do. I’m from the DC area but she went missing from the WV panhandle which is pretty close. I really really appreciate it!!!!

there is a young man missing 3 years now his name is macin smith..his story was on "Disappeared"...look up his website on face book with macins army...they now post all missing info for other missing children and adults.... macins army is almost 50,000 people....that is a lot of sharing on facebook

I would hope that such pertinent social information is allowed.

I would also hope that if the girl is found, that the thread should be closed by the inclusion of that information.

Hopefully alive and well, not too distressed or interfered with.

My prayers go out for the girl and all who are anxious for her safe return.

Same here. I’ve never helped a search party for a missing person before but, I know now that’s it’s definitely an emotionally charged environment and it really makes a person feel invested in seeing a positive outcome.
