While I may have not agreed with some of what Stanton said I always appreciated his desire to keeping UFOlogy legitimate by challenging the status quo.

We needed Stanton Friedman whether we realized it or not.

Rest easy Stanton.

I didn't agree with him, but there's no denying the impact he had and the interest he created. May he rest in peace.

except global warming is false. Earth goes through natural cycles, us puny humans cannot change the climate by our waste.

I’m glad that I had an opportunity to meet and speak with him a few years ago. He dedicated his life to
UFO research and though I didn’t always agree with him, he didn’t come across as a fantasist or con man.

Sad news. He was always an interesting speaker, more objective than most on the subject of UFO's. I was looking forward to going to one of his speaking engagements one day. A friend of mine once met him and actually invited him to lunch, he said he was a very down to Earth cool guy who was easy to talk to. He will be missed.

Definitely one of the Legends In I guess we call it ufologist ,,,I think it is a bad term for people like Stanton Friedman because it is misleading on this subject...but we will save that for another day....American hero to this subject....

He was absolutely a ufologist... and a physicist as well...

He was just the only legitimate celebrity ufologists...by a mile.

Who was that other UFO guy that died a couple years ago?

Stanton Friedman was both believer and skeptic, imperfect and principled, outspoken and contemplative, always willing to challenge orthodoxy.

He was a great man and will be sorely missed.

May his work inspire many to come.

Very sad news. May God keep his soul, and may he RIP. The UFO movement has lost one of it's giant figures.

Joined just to say RIP. It was Mr Friedman who got me into ufology. I regret not attending one of his conferences. He will be sorely missed
