That is a very good point, if they did build the site there must be some logistical record and perhaps plan's somewhere but given that if they still exist they will probably be filed away in a warehouse somewhere being paper records they shall not be easy to track down even given America's rather robust Freedom of Information law's, there is no reason they would have to keep them secret now as this was a WW2 period project and not a cold war site - or at least I assume so.
Still it remain's more than intriguing - until and unless it turn's out to be rather mundane like most thing's.

Sorry I actually still think of you as more of an archaeologist than myself even though I have disagree'd on occasion - does not make me right though.

The water level rises/floods when you sink yourself into a tub of liquid, does it not?

Ice is less dense than water (which is why it floats), so when ice melts into water it doesn't raise the level as much as you would think.

Yeah I've never heard of it before except in connection with it being one of designated safety fields for landing the Space Shuttle in case of emergency.

I am not jumping in to this one deeply....I will simply point out that geological evidence proves there have been multiple massive variations in Ocean levels... this is fact....however there is a greater over-riding fact....that these impacts caused by changes in water levels are dwarfed in comparison to the near ELE impacts of the Global Continental Displacement Waves which GEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE PROVES HAPPENED ...recently....a series displacement waves caused by continental movement are what we interpret as a Global Flood.
