I can't be sure, but I'm gonna guess your reasoning goes something like:
U.S.S Liberty, even if attacked on purpose, was and is definitely not a huge red-flag, or a sign of malicious intent from Israel. We should forget about that time they showed us their true colors, and made it clear that that they are not our allies (but instead ONLY their own allies), but our enemies. Forget about it. It's irrelevant (not of any importance).

We need to instead focus on the possible, potential likelihood that our future-projections will at some point in time, more likely than not, point to a possible manifestation of a likely-viable Iranian nuclear threat to the USA that might or might not be outside of US' strategic asset's intercept-profile, and that may or may not actually be turned into actual actions by the actual non-speculated Iranians; We are 100% SURE of this!
And therefore we must bomb Iran before they get the bomb and kill us all because I'm telling you that is totally what is going to happen if we don't bomb them like we did Iraq!

Both sides, Israel and the US are vastly different countries and their relationship has changed dramatically. Nations actually don't have 'true colors' or anything like that. this is how the US grubment works. they demonise a countrys leadership, claims the leadership is a danger to the world, then bombs the country back into the stone age, then they occupy the country virtually for ever because when they conquer a country they build a milit-tree base there and they never, ever leave that country.

Thankfully, President Trump sent a message to his cabinet today telling them NOT say to the media that a U.S. - IRAN war is inevitable. (It was a signal to John Bolton, without mentioning him by name.) That Diplomacy and Sanctions will work. He also told Sean Hannity tonight that everything is "Under Control" when it comes to Iran.
