Perhaps a reply. To me this writing, albeit short and to the point, allows the reader to ponder, WTF happened here.

I imagine the speaker was tied down then smothered. Cut short, couldn't breath afterwards. I guess the thrill of the kill came to the person sitting and smothering.

Hi Bally. Thanks for your message, and for sharing your interpretation.

The title, format, and style were all planned-out and written-down, a couple of days after the contest opened.
Was thinking about using up to 50 words, but they just never came to me.
Was thinking about creating the half-story, with those 50, but the more the idea of unspoken accusations was pondered, the more it seemed interesting to also not give them away in the written words.

Wanted to use some fancy-dancy, highfalutin, writer's words: but they just didn't feel right.
Finally: the simple raw words, seemed to be more realistic, so just went with those.
Seems to me that every reader, becomes a co-creator, and fills-in the blanks in their own way.
Always loved art where the observer, becomes a part of the art.

Definitely a nefarious and deadly ending. You are right...anything other than The End would have corrupted the imagination created.
