A leading academic and cleric from World Cup host country Qatar has filmed a shocking guide on how Muslim men should beat their wives.

The vile video features Abd Al-Aziz Al-Khazraj demonstrating how to "punish" a woman in accordance with Islamic law.

Women are usually submissive to men in Islam. They have rules about this, a woman has to be kept in her place. Their ways are not supposed to be allowed in the USA, but because it is part of their religion, they have protection from our constitution. Their wives have limited rights in their societies, even here in America. People complain about women getting less pay yet they want to leave these immigrants come in and practice their social structure which is not legal here in America but is being allowed because of their being Muslim immigrants. Muslims are way more strict than any Christian religions are.

Its about what different societies see as a norm. What you suggest is true, but does society accept it as a norm? Many parts of the Middle East have rather extreme norms, and some of these extreme norms deal with woman and even boys.

Fair enough, to be honest. As far as norms go..but still. The norms in all of Asia would have most people in the West scratching their heads especially those from the US.

Look I try not to let the media influence unnecessarily, personally I know more than one Muslim families. Came here from Iraq and Iran respectively.

As far as the treatment of their wives go? For one - every single young guy shares the same sentiment. Two wives? Sure I could have more than one, but what kind of manic could live with even two wives?

I lol'd first time I heard that. Basically, despite the crazed rantings of older folks - same goes for every demographic imo, the younger generations are figuring it out. You could even say becoming westernized. Across the board for the most part.

If they immigrate - their children will be more and more unlike themselves. Those are the people who are least worrisome imo.
