What does income have to do with it?

If you're rich you get a different deal?

You are right, it is the same old Dem play book. Americans have become wise about many of those tactics, perhaps they should get a new play book. I might suggest a book called 'The Art of the Deal'.

It seems to be quite effective.

You do understand the difference between income and wealth don't you?

Income is what you make in any given year. Wealth is what you are worth if you sold every asset you own. Big difference between the two.

You can have income at poverty level and still be a millionaire wealth wise. Alternatively, you can have income of millions of dollars and still be technically broke due to debts....

Apparently audits take about twelve years or more.

I am very very luck as I have never been audited.

Though there is nothing unusual in my taxes. The last time we had any issues was the year we sold the store but even that was just more paperwork than usual. No audit.

Do you make tens of millions, do international business dealings etc? People like Trump get audit more than not, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get audited every year, and people like him have a team of people to make sure his taxes meet code/laws every year.

My taxes are very easy, very little write off, but I did save about 6k this year

Maxine Waters isn't smart enough to understand her own income tax return.

What does either have to do with trump vs Obama in showing tax returns?

Answer the actual question without obfuscation about my knowledge. Jesus ...

Why is trump entitled to hide his while every other modern day president showed theirs?
What privileged does he claim? Why is he different?

I worked for an international freight forwarding company for thirteen years. I worked in the accounting department.
And yes I have knowledge.
Our yearly audit took three months. Ninety days.

Because most people don't understand the tax code and how it applies to different types of income and it will be taken out of context to make it look like Trump isn't paying his fair share.

This was the same play book used against Mitt Romney in 2012. He had carried interest and capital gains as most of his income which gets taxed at a lower rate than wager earner income. This was used against him in the media even though all of it is legal and how the tax code is written. Of course, they conveniently left out too that he donated $13 million to charity that same year...

I explained it to you but you apparently have the reading comprehension of a 5 year old.

Politically, it is a no win for someone who is wealthy like Trump (and Mitt Romney before him) because the contents will be used against him because the public is generally ignorant about the tax code.

Other politicians like Obama did not have complicated tax return because they were not wealthy. As such, it is much harder to use their tax returns against them in the same manner.

Brian Fitzpatrick is a CPA.
Thomas Suozzi is a CPA

There are about ten or eleven accountants in the house and senate combined.

You'd think with that amount of financial power there would be more huh?

Apparently there are more pilots than accountants on the hill.

Why is he different? He apparently is a leader and not a puppet. There is no law that says he has to share his personal tax information with anyone. Just because prior Presidents did something does not make it a law. They simply caved to the unlawful peer pressures and proved that they were not leaders with their own personal decision-making.

Trump is obviously understands the fact that just because everyone else jumps off a bridge does not mean he has to do the same.

Barry never released his tax returns
Neither has any modern-day President

Are you sure ?
www.taxnotes.com...

Obama submitted 16 tax returns , more than any modern day President.

Uhhh , those are the filings.
It is the 1040
Shows absolutely nothing but the "bottom line"
Now , tax records are a different matter. Those are the documents that you have to submit to show who , what , when, why ,where , and how . Those are sometimes considered as tax "returns" maintained by the IRS
So , like I said , no President has ever submitted their tax "returns"
There is ABSOLUTELY NO REQUIREMENT for a President to release ANY tax forms.(Or anyone else for that matter)
The IRS has already stated the answer - No.
Accept it
Lose the TDS

Well I know one reason...He just wants to troll the left as they troll him. We saw how the left freaked out when they got one of his returns and then it showed he paid 36 million in taxes...lol He was like got ya!

But lets take this another step, what if he shows 5 years of paying zero taxes while making 100 of millions, how would you respond to that, how would the left respond to that?

So you answered your own questions then, Trump most likely gets audited every year, so in a sense he is ALWAYS under an audit...Now there might be a few months break here and there, so if you want to say here is 5 months where he wasn't directly under an audit go ahead, not going to argue that point...We both know in Trumps mind he is always being audited so when he says I'm under audit I'm sure he fully believes that while his tax team may say right now today he is not.
