How do people fall for videos like these?

Not to play the devil’s advocate too much, but from what I understand, “allahu akbar” can be used much in the same way that we use the phrase “oh my god”. You lost your keys? Allahu akbar. You found your keys? Allahu akbar. Your best friend gets shot in the face, not five feet from you? Allahu akbar.

I wouldn’t immediately jump to the conclusion that they’re celebrating the destruction of Notre Dame, but it certainly wouldn’t surprise me one bit. I’m just offering this as a linguistic analysis, and not as a defense against justifiable moral outrage.

Maybe they will find that this is a terrorist attack by some Radical Islam group like ISIL. They do have some refugees around that area. It would be a great target for them to hit. All a person would need is some gas in a pouch and a detonating device to start a fire.

Yes, there are sick individuals of all creeds, colours and faiths will take some form of satisfaction from this, also some anarchists, atheists and French people, what do you have to say about them? Or are you just focussing on fellows you ASSUME are Muslim?

Talk about assumptions, what proof do you have that they are even happy about Norte Dame burning? There is no context here, if they were white and smiling the assumption would be that they were having an unrelated joke about something while one of the group snapped a pic of the burning cathedral. But because they're dark skinned of course the only thing they can be happy about is the Burning effigy of Christendom. You're making leaps in logic to fit your own biases.

Good to see this thread where it belongs, in the one place worse than that Hoax Bin!

I don't automatically jump to the conclusion it was Muslims, I wait amd see what evidence is presented, the video in the OP is a crap fake, the video on twitter allegedly showing a robed man walking nonchalantly along an upper outside balcony is poor quality and you can't really tell if it's someone in white coveralls zipped 3/4 way up and dark clothes underneath with a white hard hat on or someone in white robes, a white head covering and a black beard. The smiling darker skinned lads could be smiling at anything, sharing a joke, talking about their families, just because Norte Dame was burning doesn't mean everyone in Paris needed to look dour.

There is no proof so far that anything untoward happened, it's looking very like it was an industrial accident and if they find evidence of arson, I'd be willing to bet French authorities will indeed act on it.

In all honesty I'm surprised Da'esh haven't claimed responsibility for this, they've laid claim to other incidents that they had nothing to do with, especially at times when they needed to look stronger than they are and right now they're at the weakest they've been since we started hearing about them...

Inviting islam into your country never ends well. At first it seems ok, your new neighbor is friendly, keeps to himself, kids go to school with your kids...... Then one day you're driving down the street and you see a mosque getting built, then another...... and all of a sudden you find yourself attending the funeral of a couple dozen people...... and are getting lectured that you can not blame islam.... and given all sorts of reasons why it is you who are bad.

Funny, if someone in the KKK lynched a black person...... and his buddies all said you can not blame the KKK and everyone else who is a member for the lynching of a black person by a bad apple..... you would say, Oh yes I can!!.

Where islam goes..... mothers cry. How many examples do you need before you concede?

Islam has been a part of all our countries for centuries , funny how it only really became an issue following Bush's foray into the ME.

The Notre Dame fire has nothing to do with Islam yet some here are so desperate to believe and make others believe that it is , that to me is nearly as sad as the fire it self.

The irony is that while they celebrate this tragedy, they themselves lack any modern civilized history. At the same time they are wiping out any historical evidence of any type of civilization they may have had.

Islam has very little civility throughout the modern world and what they do have is enforced with absolute brutal dictatorships controlling their daily lives.

They can celebrate all they wish but it's a hollow victory considering where they are at and where the west is. Taking that into consideration, who is really being punished?

I'm no fan of Muslums, but the first thing upon watching the short video is it was faker than a $3 bill. Zero chance this "video" is real. This is garbage and should be placed in the HOAX BIN.

Muslims have managed to divide us,the 2 women who got voted in Congress are dividing us...They have surely divided France into a major mess..So why not think critically when it is at the most important time..France has become so secular of a society that they forget people have beliefs.
