It always amuses me when I see people happy and gloating after a human dies while hunting.
An interesting poll should be
Who believes in the death sentence?
Should trying to kill an animal be punishable by death?
How about killing a human?
How about trying to kill a human?
I saw a news story about a kid who was a part of a drive by shooting. Didn’t listen to the cop and got shot. Protests followed
If the same kid did a drive by in the elephant at the zoo. Then didn’t listen to the cop and got shot. I think people would have thrown the cop a parade.
The human condition is fascinating

I also like it when toddlers eat batteries and make it necessary for battery companies to put warning labels on battery packages telling people not to let their kids eat batteries. Frankly, I think Mr Darwin has some work to do there. If nature can make animals that blend into their surroundings because the ones that didn't got eaten, it can make human toddlers that don't eat batteries because the ones that did don't survive to do other dumb things as adults. Like having babies on Welfare.

I blame the buyers of the poached animals, namely wealthy Chinese who will pay what the impoverished poachers consider a fortune for the animals tusks and such.
Agreed , that is the root of the evil which will persist until the market for ivory and horn is ended , more pressure needs to be put on Far Eastern countries to end the trade in their superstition medicines and ivory trinkets.

People who are hunting aren’t breaking into an extremely dangerous national park on foot in the middle of the night with the sole goal of killing Rhinos for only the horn while leaving the entire body to rot. That’s called poaching, not
Hunting.
Your analogy between not listening to a cop getting killed and someone trying to illegally kill an endangered species aren’t even in the same library let alone the same play book.
