Yes my sanity is questionable! Yours would be as well if you were stuck in the middle of no where on a drilling rig.

I was just thinking...I wonder if this some kind of response to recent Russian training exercises? Who else would NATO fight in such in an environment?

You might be right about Russia. This could be about oil...

Scenario: The Utopian Crisis

Hmmm, look at the participating countries. Russia comes to mind. Romania, Poland, Finland and Sweden which is not in NATO but has borders with Russia. And 12 billion barrels of oil is quite significant. More than half of US´ oil (22 billion) and almost three times UK's oil (4.7 billion)...

Another car crashed with a tank today. This makes the third Tank vs. Car accident during Battle Griffin. A woman in her 20´s was sent to hospital for tests but she was apparently not injured.

The last crash was apparently caused by icy road conditions. Here is a picture from the last incident. Not so bad. The tank that drove over a couple in a Mercedes a few days ago was bad...

They are talking about extreme weather conditions with driving snow and freezing winds. Perfect. Now they can really test their equipment all the way...

Two french soldiers had to be rescued. They were cold and called the HQ for help. A rescue-chopper picked them up. Sissy "soldiers". Ok, it was close to minus 40 degrees celsius many places in Norway but still.

Maybe they couldn't find anyone to surrender to?

Actually, I bet they were warned of hypothermia before they started the excercises.

It turned violent when a group of dutch soldiers from the Royal Marines were dealing with a demonstration. Observers at the scene had to stop the soldiers several times because they were too violent. This scenario must have been very realistic...

Marine Corps News: Marines play reindeer games at Norwegian feast

"It was awesome," said McCoy, a Southwindsor, Mass., native. "I can honestly say it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. It tasted kind of like beef stroganoff."

The second course was a surprise for the Marines, who were presented a dish and only were only told what it was after they had eaten it.

"It turned out to be smoked reindeer’s heart," said Cpl. Andy S. Puga, a Leominster, Mass. native. "It sounds kind of gross, but it tasted good. It was kind of like bacon."

They say the police (military and civil police) have not gotten there yet. They don't know yet if people are hurt or how bad the damage is. They say it was a Leopard tank.

New details just came in...
A couple were sleeping when this tank suddenly came crashing through the walls of the house. They say the tank "slipped on the ice" and lost control. The couple is unharmed apart from the shock but their house is badly damaged. It was not a Leopard after all, it was a CV 90.

Maybe it was the same couple who were riding in that Mercedes?

The hole in the wall isn't the biggest. It must have been a small tank, this CV90 ^^...

Viken, as this man is named also comments to the newspaper that these big military vehicles are obviously dangreous in traffic.

But why is he bleeding from his mouth and hand?
Has he been beaten by the soldiers?

Norwegian homeowner Odin Viken woke with a start Monday, fearing his house was being shaken by an earthquake. But this earthquake was manmade: a 26-ton tank slammed into Viken's house in Vassbotna, some 565 kilometres north of Oslo, at about 5:30 a.m., the military said. The tank went through a wall and partway into the bathroom
