His tax returns, anyone's tax returns are filed under, "Nunya".

Dems still don't have anything to run on except "get Trump", borders are bad, and we need higher unemployment and more taxes.

I want to see Trump's tax returns for the big picture of who and what he is.

Why?

The IRS already did.

Oh Cowboy, you have not grasped the pebble from the elitist's hand yet, have you?

Sure... when they run for president.

Please link for me the law that states that a President has to release his/her tax returns.

I'll wait for it...

Azzhole commentators are saying, "Every President for the last 50 years has released his tax returns!"

How stupid of a remark is that? Low-IQ liberals want every President and every citizen to fit into their picture of how life should be. (i.e. Socialism)

I hope the President's meeting this evening (ref: theconservativetreehouse.com...-162083) includes a "fight back!" strategy.

So a multi-millionaire turned politician, need to see the tax records.

But a politician turned multi-millionaire? Crickets.

This is what I want to see. . . . .

"I left my tax returns are on your mama's pillow, bitch."
Donald Trump

Wow, cowboy this is only about transparency

Oh bullsh*t, this is about finding something, ANYTHING on Trump by any means necessary.

Why stop there, let's have all of the Democrat candidates tax returns for the last 6 years, better yet, let's force everyone in government to hand over their tax returns on demand, even better, every taxpayer should simply have their entire financial history made available to the public online, and in documentation for anyone that wants it.

No privacy for anyone! You know, for the big picture, so we can know who and what they really are!

Can we start with yours?

Trump is reportedly undergoing an audit, not that it matters. Even if they find nothing wrong the democrats will insist they will find something wrong in there that the auditors missed.

Meh

I HOPE THEY ALLOW THIS...... BUT...what is for the goose is for the gander.....AND THEN WE SHOULD GET ALL ACTIVE MEMBERS of Congress and Senate tax returns as well. STARTING WITH THE MEMBERS THAT HAVE REQUESTED these returns from trump. 6 YEARS FOR 6 YEARS . We should also compile a list of all the relatives they have on what boards of corporations or what relatives own companies that get ANY govt contracts. NOTHING LESS. THE REPUBLIC should be DEMANDING this from all of these people. It would reveal a lot about how these people get so wealthy from being "public servants". HAHAHAHAHA. Love it. They should pass a resolution station as much and vote it in.

The chairman of the committee requesting the tax returns said (to Wolf Blister) they're going to first look and see if Donald Trump used his position as President to enrich his businesses.

From there, they'll work backwards to 2013...comparing his returns to the bank-records that Maxine Water's finance committee has already received. Looking for asset valuation shenanigans that Michael Cohen directed them to investigate.

If they have nothing to hide, there should be no forcing.

I missed your reply to me where it should be OK for all of Congress and the House to put out their tax returns as well, in the interest of transparency.

After all, if they have nothing to hide, there should be no forcing, right?

But they already asked Trumpity Trump for his tax information and he was not forthcoming...red flags, right there.

No offense, but I can not stand the "if you have nothing to hide" argument. If we followed that then the government and law enforcement agencies would be able to violate our rights constantly because if we have nothing to hide, we have nothing to fear from good old government.......

I don't understand why the senate hasn't requested questionable Dem Congress critter tax returns, like waters, Pelosi, schumer, etc. Just for s**t's and giggles, it would be nice to know how some of them are worth $150m plus on a $175,000 salary.

Cheers - Dave

Easy solution.

“Due to the continued weaponization attempts for political means, the subset agency of the Department of the Treasury known as the Internal Revenue Service shall cease to function as an entity at 12:01 pm on this date. Furthermore a complete moratorium of restoration or replacement shall stand for 99 years as of this date.”

Signed

Donald J Trump

POTUS.

Make them think it's no big deal...and then HIT EM HARD!

President Trump responded with a dismissive taunt on Wednesday after a House committee chairman formally requested the IRS provide several years of his personal and business tax returns, in a move that prompted congressional Republicans to warn that Democrats had "weaponized" tax law.

Told by a reporter at the White House that Democrats wanted six years of his tax returns, Trump replied:

"Is that all? Usually it's 10. So I guess they're giving up. We're under audit, despite what people said, and we're working that out -- I'm always under audit, it seems, but I've been under audit for many years, because the numbers are big, and I guess when you have a name, you're audited. But until such time as I'm not under audit, I would not be inclined to do that."

The request Wednesday by Massachusetts Rep. Richard Neal, who heads the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, is the first such demand for a sitting president's tax information in 45 years.

The move sets up a virtually certain legal showdown with the White House.

I was just thinking......
If the IRS turns over Trump’s tax returns as quickly as the FBI turns over the Hillary/Spygate documents that Congress subpoenaed, they wouldn’t see them until 2025!

If they want Trump's tax returns , who cares?

Make it public.

However, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

So, let everyone in congress make their tax returns public.

I fully back this, most people of all political walks DO. As a method to dissuade corruption/kickbacks, it should be illegal to refuse to pony up the records annually when holding public office.

Oh, good Lord!

Donald Trump, as a businessman, is paid through his business. His tax returns show nothing except income from that business and any investments he personally has (stocks, bonds, etc.). I seriously doubt he does his own taxes anyway, so everything was done legally. He has nothing to hide there, but he does have a horse in this race: if he is under audit, this release will put a sudden stop to the IRS audit. Any lawyer worth his salt can get that audit thrown out as soon as the tax returns are released. The Democrats are doing Trump a favor by pulling the IRS off his back.

And of course, they can't indict him anyway... he has to be impeached, and that impeachment will not remove him from office because that takes 2/3 of the Senate... meaning every single Democrat/Independent and 20 out of 53 Republicans. So unless whatever they think they'll find in those returns is particularly grievous, Trump just got a get-out-of-IRS-free card. Can he say "Thank you DNC"?

It's also going to be very tricky to even introduce the charges into an impeachment anyway, since the actual information in the returns are still private. It would have to be a closed session of the House that votes on the charges that are not made public. Oh, that will look good to the public!

I assume everyone has forgotten about Rachal Maddow illegally publishing his 2005 tax return only to realize that there was no there, there. Please, refresh thy memories:

Go ahead and demand them. It'll just make the Congressional Democrats look more like the children they are. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it, and I'm pretty sure neither will President Donald J. Trump.

The overarching issue here is that this demand for 6 years of Tax Returns for Donald Trump and associated businesses, coupled with Nadler's demands for all of the communications records of Trumps lawyers and accountants going back years (plus demands for private records from some 80 other people and organizations), amounts to overt harrassment of a political opponent, and a massive invasion of privacy.

The claim that this some kind of legitimate oversight of the Executive Branch would be laughable if it was not so potentially tragic for the integrity of the American system of balance of powers.

It is no more legitmate for Congress to proactively investigate every past action and activity of a sitting President...just to make sure he hasn't ever done anything wrong...than it would be for the DOJ (an Executive Branch Agency) to proactively investigate every detail of the past lives of every person who is seated as a Congressman or Senator for the same reason.

This Democrat House of Representatives has decided that it is legitimate for them to relentlessly investigate a person (Donald Trump...who also happens to be their President) in search of crime - instead of investigating a crime, in search of the person responsible for it.

This is a very dark and dangerous turn of events...and Republicans, Democrats and Independents ought to unite to say that this is just not right, and cannot be permitted to take place. Schiff, Nadler, Neal - and Pelosi, since she is the head of the snake behind all of this - need to be put on notice that Abuse of Power is still a crime in the United States, and they will be held accountable if they insist on maintaining this course.

The first step is that every one of these demands and subpoenas, coming out of these Committees, needs to be challenged in Court. This latest witch hunt needs to be nipped in the bud.
