Your mom sounds awesome YouSir.

My mom has always been very independent, resilient, and a go getter too... Much of what inspires me comes from her.

She also sounds like she has such a good quality of life because she still has a routine and keeps active, something many people later in life start to lack on.

Anyways, I hope she has a speedy recovery man, from the sounds of it I'm sure she will. cheers.

She said she felt like a new woman after just one night on the meds they gave her...she was laughing and talking about how badly she wanted to get out of there...

She was just upset that she missed a meeting at her work...

Always YouSir. I think us men get the best of our selves from our moms first, and then our SO if we get the right pick.

My mom has had some health scares and still isn't out of the woods yet, and I definitely know it is one of the few things in life that just the though of it or revisiting prior experiences always reminds me how human I am.

That is my favorite part, tells you everything about her character. Even if something is out of her control she just wants to be there for other people, truly phenomenal lady.

I'm sending good vibes all the way from Virginia. Again, she likely doesn't need them as she is tough... But even beacons of kindness should be recipients too. I hope she enjoys the hell out of that pie I'm sure you'll be right there enjoying some with her soon.

I hear you loud and clear. You touch on a lot of what my fantasies are as well. If I wasn't such a coward and lazy, I would be trying to incorporate with a self sustainable community. I think if you have the correct outlook on life, those communities would allow the soul to fly free and bask in the wonder that is this reality.

Self sustainable and living in harmony with nature. Regrowing social connections at the level of the soul that would replace the hollow longing our technology has caused. Working with the earth. Seeing the sky again without all of the light pollution. Relying on a fire to provide warmth throughout the winter.

I saw a preview for a movie about sustainable farming / living in harmony with the land. I am not sure if it was this one or not, the preview was for something released this year, but it had a similar theme.

Man did that create some longing.
