Have you read their claim? It's stoopid!

The kid will forever be tainted by the MSM false narrative of the event. I can see damages be awarded especially since Sandman's Attorney gave people and orgs time to correct/retract things and they still didn't .

Time to hurt them the only way they feel and pain or remorse, take their money.

It is funny to say the least.

Do tell how calling someone with no reputation names equates to hundreds of millions in damages.

It is as if you all hate the 1st. amendment.

There is no precedence for a yute having any reputation to defame and such has been ruled against in the past.

When nick entered the protest he became a limited public figure and subject to everything that comes with being a public figure.

This is not a valid lawsuit and highlights what is wrong with our justice system.

Lastly nick is putting all the blame on his school in saying that he was not responsible for being in that area at that time and it was out of his control to be there. That puts counter suits for the events on the back of the schools.

Good job nick you just threw your school under the bus.

First time seeing any civil case ever?

The plaintiff often sues high and then settles for a much lower amount.

One can not get damages for a reputation that the state has never recognized in the past.

There are very many court cases where yutes have tried but the state has ruled yutes have no reputation to damage.

Where we differ here is the expectation that this would ever see a courtroom. Cnn/WaPo are dealing with a 16 year old here and they very much have settlement money to throw around to avoid the month-to-year-long struggle of dragging it through the system forever.

I'm sure I know your answer but can you provide a link to those rulings?

I do not see them settle since every other lawsuit would follow suit.

The lawyers made the mistake of listing every one they plan to sue. Those companies have a vested interest in seeing that the first case fails in court then all the rest fail.

When nick entered the protest he became a limited public figure and subject to everything that comes with being a public figure.

Being physically present when a protest starts is not the same as choosing to become part of that protest.

By that reasoning, anyone who is shot would not be considered a victim because they chose to be in the path of the bullet.

He chose to go to the national mall and protest for the right to life. That makes him a limited public figure. He is claiming he had no choice to be in the second protest that day yet the boys admitted in tv interviews that they asked the teacher if they could counter the protest.

Since the suit is surrounded by nick claiming he had no choice to be their that puts the onus on the school and they would be subject to any counter suits in the matter.

I thought it was someone's right to come and go as they chose? How is going to a mall acceptance of celebrity?

I have heard nothing about him asking teachers of they could join a counter protest. Do you have a link for that? Did the teacher give permission? Where is that statement? Does a minor have the ability to decide if they wish to be a public figure? We do not allow minors to consent to sexual relations. Was he protesting when the incident occurred? I saw no protest in the video except the black hebrews and Nathan Phillips.

The March for Life was over as was the Indigenous People's March, we do not know if the black racist Israelite had a permit to be on the National Mall.

The chants were to drown out the racist and homophobic slurs that black Israelite were shouting at the group of boys.

He said he and his classmates were shouting cheers they knew from school, with permission from their chaperones, “to drown out the hateful comments that were being shouted at us by the protesters.”

By 5 p.m., the light was fading on the Mall and both marches had mostly petered out. A group of about 100 Covington students had gathered on the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, where they had been told to meet before catching their buses home.

The Hebrew Israelites were also still there, and still insulting the students.

“You all are a bunch of Donald Trump incest babies,” Israel said to them, according to the video, before asking if there were any black students among them.

When a black Covington student came forward, Israel called him “Kanye West” and the n-word, the footage shows. He tells the teen his friends will one day harvest his organs, an apparent reference to the racially fraught movie “Get Out.”

Viral standoff between a tribal elder and a high schooler is more complicated than it first seemed - Washington Post

The school is also going to be sued by young Mr. Sandmann as they initially believed the erroneous reporting and issued a statement based upon the false narrative.

What did I say that was not true?
You come on threads and lie all the time.
Or you come on threads and spout nonsense and when you get called out often admit that you shouldn't be commenting because you are severely uninformed.
Defamation would be me calling you fat and lazy with knowing the facts.
I have not done that.

Again he was involved in a protest that day and that entered him into the public record.

It was a tv interview where the said they asked the teacher/chaperone if they could do school chants to counter what was happening. It has been a while since i seen it and i can't remember what program. I think it may be on the video.

On the other hand the teacher was present and never made any attempt to stop them from taking off their shirt and doing school chants so that in itself is a form of acceptance by the school along with no reprimand for doing such.

Thanks.

That is sad and sandmann is being taught some piss poor lessons and will likely grow up confused about right and wrong.
