If every book with an ISBN number was available through Amazon UK except this one then you could possibly - possibly - question if Amazon UK was making Yaxley-Lennon seem more important than he is. I'd put fairly good money though on that not being the case. Plus, a retailer deciding not to stock or sell a particular product can't be classed as censorship as I'm not sure a private company can be accused of even having that label applied to them - members of momentum have urged for goods originating in Israel should be banned from the UK, arguably that has the same accusation against them and they currently make up a huge swathe of the Labour political party so is that good?

I personally have no wish to read Main Kampf, and looked at from a basic high level perspective I can kind of see the argument about why sell one but not the other, but only to an extent. As loathsome as Hitler is, and his legacy remains, from a historical perspective perhaps there are lessons to learn and for all I know, if historians are looking to build the narrative of how so many in Germany fell under his spell which led to the formation of what we call the national socialist party in Germany at the time it's problematic not to refer to passages in that book. Can we say the same is true of Yaxley-Lennon? No. Not unless at some point in the next 20 years he becomes a significant part of an ultra right UK government which I hope will never be that case.

But for the actual basis of this particular thread, one thing and one thing alone is really the question. Does a retailer in the private market have a choice of which products they wish to sell, the answer to that has to be yes. Is that censorship? No, how can one retailer be classed as a censor when other retailers can make a different decision?

What investigation or rough year are you referring too as there's been several attempts, as far as I'm aware the Courts banned every story since 2012 from being aired via abuse of privacy and libel law. It's caused a lot of anger in journalists as it's legal to name them on twitter butt illegal to mention anything that could reveal their identities in broadcast. The investigation by Newsnight helped trigger the current inquiry.

Hopefully the current independent inquiry into Parliamentary Child Sex Abuse sees those involved in the cover-up jailed (Home Office, Number 10, Met Police, MI5) as the six 'alleged' perpetrators are all deceased.

Ahh I know the one, the editor should have broadcast it anyway and accepted the sentence as part of professional ethics as those allegedly involved were no longer in power then.

It's in court at the moment. So far this week MI5 have admitted that they knew a Tory MP had 'a penchant for little boys' but only investigated the national security risk and failed to pass info to police. Also emerged one of the heads of The MET was into child porn - though Boris Johnson has just said the £60m VIP/MP Child Sex Abuse Inquiry is money being 'spaffed up the wall'.
